When you walk in from the parking lot it's hard to tell if they are even open. The front counter appears to still be a work in progress. I went in expecting a bit more for options as a review mentioned Korean BBQ pork, but this wasn't on the menu. I ordered the sweet & spicy chicken. The quantity for the a la carte price is a little lacking compared to say Panda Express, but their bowls might be a better value. The chicken itself was fresh, hot and crispy, but lacked any seasoning itself - typical for this type of food, but to balance that out you really need an outstanding sauce. The sauce kind of had a Szechuan Peppercorn tingle to it. I wouldn't even call it spicy except that there is a slight heat build up by the time you are done, but it is entirely mild. I can't quite make out the type of seasoning they were using in the sauce, but it has a very garlicky aftertaste in what I believe is a mildly sweet light soy syrup that really lacked in flavor profile. My wife and I decided to try this place and we're so glad we did! We ordered the Deep Fried Shumai, Honey garlic chicken bowl, and Gyosa. I had never tried Shumai before and they were AMAZING! They were so crunchy on the outside and stuffed with a shrimp mix that was generous, flavorful, and rich. So glad we tried it! The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside and still moist on the inside. I could tell the chicken was much higher quality than you might get at a chain restaurant. The honey garlic sauce was delicious and I've been thinking about it ever since. I wish I had a whole bottle at home. The Gyosa passed my wife's very high standards of Gyosa greatness. Checking & Bowl Wow ! Great food and service. I got the sweet and spicy 10pc chicken (thought it was wings) nope full size legs and wing. Chicken was cooked to perfection, so jucy, so crispy ( perfect! ). The lady helping us was very friendly and helpful. This was some of the best chicken I have had in a long time. Menu is small, but from what I have had, what they do have is done very, very well. The only problem I had was that the seating was hard and uncomfortable. The chairs are not really made for larger people. Thought I was going to break the chair when leaned back. Thank goodness it held up 😆.
