Homewood Suites by Hilton Richland — Hotel in Richland

Awful awful awful service! We called ahead and booked 4 connecting rooms, cost around $800. Warned that it would be a bachelorette party and to put us away from a group of guests. They put us smack dab in the middle of the fist floor with 4 connecting rooms. We checked in and we're there 20 minutes before a group of "older people" 5 sisters and their husbands stopped by our room to laugh and give us a gag gift at 9:45 (they saw from outside the decor and theme of the party). Maintenance guy Dominic was there withing 30 seconds saying we were loud and quite time was 10 pm, demanding we go inside our room and be quite. We did. In fact most of the party left including the "new found friends" and we went inside our room. Which was Burried inside the 4 rooms we payed $800 for! Not 10 minutes later Dominic knocked on our door and demanded we leave the hotel emeditaley withing 10 minutes. And not a split second later we had 12 police officers escorting us out with betons. Please keep in mind we had been there a half hour at the least. He from down the hall kept telling the officers we were agressive, extremely intoxicated, and causing a problem. All after 30 minutes of being there all still barely before 10pm and with a definite warning when he rented out 4 rooms at $800. They REFUSED to give our money back in fact we're awful when my sober parents whom paid for the whole ordeal demanded they be refunded. Nope! They treated us like trash! We were the left with the decision we all avoided, drinking and driving! Our morals brought us to paying this amount for rooms to avoid drinking and drinking yet the "pride" and inexperience of a young hotel maintence guy, Dominic. Almost drove 18 drunk drivers into the road. The good thing is we are ALL smarter than that and chose to get a ride, we only had to eat our pizza in the parking lot while we waited for rides. If you're thinking about doing anything here except sleeping think again!!! Oh and the pool hours on the website are incorrect they decided to close it 2 hours earlier, and the rooms are far from clean! Also "maintenance" is a strait joke! Guy addmitted to waiting outside our room for loud noises, then called police 🙄! Ps none of us have EVER had a run in with police. We are farthest from bad people.

G way has several other amazing hotels don't stay at this one! Even richland police laughed at the pothetic...

This was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had in a long time. First off, forget about using any of the amenities they advertise — the pool and the grill area were both “temporarily closed” during our entire stay with no clear explanation or effort to make up for it. Why even list them if guests can’t use them?

Customer service at the front desk was equally disappointing — unhelpful, rude, and generally acted like we were inconveniencing them just by checking in.

Breakfast was a nightmare. The staff literally glared at anyone who dared to take more than a single scoop of eggs or sausage. If you try to feed your family, expect judgmental stares and passive-aggressive behavior. I’ve never felt so unwelcome trying to grab a bite to eat.

As for the Wednesday night buffet? Save yourself the time. Bland, barely warm food, and once again, the staff made sure to ruin what little enjoyment could be had by being as unfriendly as possible.

And God forbid you run out of toilet paper — good luck getting more. Calling the front desk felt like asking for a major favor rather than a basic necessity.

Save your money and your sanity. There are plenty of other hotels that understand what “hospitality”...

On this Thanksgiving I am thankful for….Samantha, the GM at Homewood Suites Richland! I booked a suite for our family of 5 a few weeks ago and was super excited to stay here. Had the kids pumped up about a pool + buffet on the water. The day before Thanksgiving, my sister went on the hotel website and saw a notice that the pool was closed….nooooo! I called HS slightly panicked, as I’d called the hotel when I made the res and asked specifically about the pool. Turns out I’d been routed unknowingly to a third party broker who sold me on the pool even though it was closed. Initially, the front desk told me I’d have to work through the broker to cancel the reservation…ugh! Thankfully, Samantha came to the rescue. She offered to call the third party herself and 30 minutes later I had an email confirmation from her and the third party cancelling the reservation. She recommended their sister property, Hampton Inn, which has an indoor functioning pool. We’re booked here now…pool, buffett and riverfront suite, all for the same price. whew!! Thanks so much much Samantha for making this easy…we’ll be back…and will try out the HS outdoor pool in...
