We tried Sake Express Sushi & Teriyaki for the first time this evening. Some of it was 5 stars, some of it was 1 star, so that's why the 3 star rating. Let's start with the positive. We got the Trinity Sampler. The gyoza and tempura shrimp were delicious and crispy, and the egg rolls were at least twice as big as we expected. And speaking of big, we ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, and it was delicious and a gargantuan portion. The sushi rolls we got were AMAZING, (the Philadelphia and Snow White and 7 Dwarfs Rolls) like seriously delicious, and a very good portion. Now for the less nice things to say... The egg rolls, while large and well seasoned were absolutely dripping with oil and soggy. We got the Chicken Teriyaki, and while the portion was generous and the chicken tasted good, it really would be more appropriately named "Chicken Teriyaki Jerky", because the chicken was dry, crunchy, and nearly dehydrated. And the most disappointing item of all was the one I looked most forward to. The Mahi Mahi Poke Bowl. $15.99 for what was probably a 1/4 of a cup (or less) of food. There were literally probably 6 1/4" cubes of tuna and avocado, then mostly lettuce. Probably $1 worth of food for $16. That dish was an absolute rip off and I cannot recommend against it enough. I did order over $100 worth of food and got 2 soy sauce packets and two pea-sized portions of wasabi (more is available for an...

My hubby & I came here for a quick bite. We saw the bubble tea sign in the window & we were just talking about them! We tried the honeydew bubble tea,it is like a cross between a milkshake & a slushie with big chewy tapioca Pearl's. It was sweet & fruity, would go there just for those bubble teas! We ordered the Harry Potter roll it is my favorite. Had smoked salmon, cream cheese, tempura shrimp inside, topped with salmon that had been seared a little laid on top. The rice had these little seared spots and gave the roll a smoky flavor profile that complimented the sauce it had drizzled on the side. My husbands new favorite is High School Musical, it also has cream cheese, cooked shrimp & avocado on top, shrimp tempura & smoked salmon. Bottom picture is the snow white roll, the crumbs make it crunchy. Friendly service. The restaurant is in a strip mall next to fujiyamas. The decor is...

Wanted to try a new place for dinner. Decided on Sake Express. Pulled in to the parking lot and hoped for a hidden hole in the wall gem. However, once we walked in and tried to find a booth without duct tape on the seats and failed, I was a little worried. Server was polite and took our drink orders quickly. Never had boba tea come as a slushy before. The rim had something dried to the edge of it. Food came out pretty fast. The wife ordered the Harry Potter roll which included smoked salmon. However the salmon that came in the roll was more like sushi salmon that had liquid smoke or a light sear put on it. Way too much moisture to be smoked and came off as really fishy. The cleanliness needs to be stepped up quite a bit as it's a little worrisome ordering sushi somewhere that doesn't look like a cleaning routine is established. All in all can't recommend but...

The first sushi I ever had in my life. My first eight pieces of Tiger rolls were here with the exception of taking off the crab. The owner was so courteous, telling me to sit as soon as I got in and got me a drink right away. He took my order immediately and had it ready in a good time. The ladies helping him out were very nice and always checked on me. I absolutely loved the crunch of the tempura and the kick of flavor around the roll. My first sushi experience was here and was amazing. Thank you Sake Express. Also, the prices here are not bad. I got my rolls for $12.99 plus a drink and took another set home. Paid about $28 and gave a tip. I will be coming back again but with my friends!
