We decided to wait awhile before trying The Habit so they could get themselves established, and work out the kinks that come with the new opening of any place. So today was the day to give them a go. First I'll say, there were two cars ahead of us so not a long line and this was around 1230p. Waiting for the order took a good minute or 5. Yes, only two cars but each car had to wait a good while before getting there order, ours took at least 5 minutes. Sitting and waiting 5 minutes may not seem long until you're the sitting and waiting and lots of cars are now behind you. I wondered as I sat there, why they made the drive thru without designated wait stalls like most other fast food joints. So, we waited and we were patient and well behaved. The gal who was at the window was very friendly and so was the order taker. The Habit was busy inside and out. Items ordered. 1) Dbl Char. VERY MESSY! and we only got three (3!) napkins. But it was very delish. 2) Single char on sourdough. This was a joke. When I removed the top bun to look inside and remove the pickles I swear the patty was the size of a McDs baby burger. It was so small it only was enough for one half of the sandwich. The other half was literally just the fixings. Was not all that tasty either. How is it the dbl char had nice sized patties and this was so pathetically puny? 3) Ahi tuna on sourdough. Hubs loves ahi so we had to try this. Asked for 'well done' got seared so had to bring it home and nook it. It was yummy EXCEPT what they did was take one fillet and cut it in half so, you really only got enough to cover one half of the sandwich if you wanted one good sized piece to cover at least the one half of your sandwich so like with the single char burger we were left with an entire half meatless.I hope all that made sense. 4) 10 pc chicken bites for the dog. Never do we eat without him having something too. Will never understand how some people can shovel food into their mouths and make a dog sit and watch. So he got the nuggies, we also tried them and they were so far the best of the three sandwiches. Very juicy and tender. But since they were his we only got a taste. But that taste was delicious. 5)Tempura green beans. One word only needed - YUM! 6) French Fries. Loved the fries. Most fast food joints saturate fries with salt, not here. I usually skip the fries because of the over salting but hubs got them and they were perfect to my tastebuds. Shared a mocha/coffee shake and it was satisfying. Not overly sweet but could've used a bit more coffee flavor. Now that we've tried The Habit I don't really see us coming here again when 5 Guys overall is better, neater and tastier. Read moreWe placed an online order at 6:05pm of two burgers and two fries. We showed up at 6:30pm to pick up our order and they said their system was down. We said we had a pending charge and they said the payment went through but the order didn’t so they would make up our order. We waited 30 min in our car and had another employee come out at 6:45pm and ask what our order was again. After 30 min of waiting, we walked into the restaurant and let them know we had been waiting 30 minutes, placed our order an hour ago and still they didn’t have our order anywhere. They said they were behind because of there system being down and would need to wait because we had a lot more orders in front of us- they gave no insight as to how much longer that would be. When I asked if we could just cancel our order the woman said yep, it’s cancelled. I said we have a charge on our account because it was an online order she said again yep, it’s cancelled, we’re done here. I then said, wow, no apology even, that is some pretty terrible customer service. Is a manager present? The woman responded I am the manager and I did apologize and we are done here. Another employee then walked up and said politely she was sorry, and when I said I was just surprised at the terrible service, the manager turned back and yelled “I said we’re done here and it’s time for you to leave!” I am completely shocked that an employee, let alone a MANAGER would treat a customer like this. The Habit Burger just opened up in our city 6 weeks ago (the first in our town) and I am appalled at the behavior of the manager. Read moreI made an order recently at their kiosk for three salads, one sandwich and drinks at $67.85. The salads were all customized, one with no dressing, one with Ranch and one with Thousand Island. When I went to receive my order there was no ranch dressing and two extra red vinaigrette dressings (the red vinaigrette was not ordered). I asked the short girl with nose ring in blue shirt for the ranch dressing that I ordered and she said that she would have to charge me for it. I politely told her it was included in my order and she told me it wasn’t on her pick kitchen printout and I will be charged for it. I showed her the order on my phone which shows ranch and she said she would give it to me but next time I would be charged. She showed the print out to the manager and I showed my phone but again the girl said I would be charged for The Habits issue (not mine). I was being harassed for an internal problem and the girl became very hostile towards me, the customer. I told these workers Im not coming to this habit to be harrashed for an obvious issue with the habits computer systems. I never got an apology and the habits staff just wanted to argue with me; a paying customer. You’ve got a real problem with lippy staff that can’t accept the habit has an issue even when I showed them a Habit email on my phone from the order. The thing that got me upset was she kept saying over and over they will charge me. Listen I already was charged so make the order correct and don’t harass your customers; honestly it RUINED my meal!!!! If you don’t fix this this place is doomed to go out of business.
