Alvarado Park — Attraction in Richmond

Places really cool. It's more of a hiking biking kind of Park. You can't actually drive up to the park or into the park in any way. You have to walk down the trail and up the hill to get to the park. That being said it's an easy walk and really nice scenery. They have a creek going through the middle of it that have little tide pools and waterfalls. On the street parking, wherever you can find it, hated that. There is a caretaker with a vehicle to drive down items which are to heavy, much to take load down in to park. They will also give rides to elderly, or people who are unable to make journey down into the park. Its a Secluded area with some perfect shade and clean nice restrooms. Was attacked in the parking lot by an off-leash German shepherd. Was lucky that I had my hiking pole to keep it enough at a distance without injury. It stayed after me for a while before I was able to get another car between me and it, before the dog’s owner chased it off.
