We went here for brunch and it was surprisingly empty. It’s a fancy restaurant and it was hard to chose from their tasty-sounding menu, but we ended up getting the crab Benedict and creme brûlée French toast. The crab Benedict came with hash browns and fruit, and the French toast came with strawberries and whipped cream on top. Creme brûlée French toast was more like a pound cake though it made it more unique— it could function more as a dessert than an entree. Crab Benedict had only a complete pieces of shell that I noticed, and the poached eggs on top we’re good. We also got some Rose tea (which had a fancy-sounding name). It was aromatic yet quite strong. Since we ‘checked-in’ using Yelp, we got two free truffle pieces. It is worth trying their brunch as they have some unique and good tasting menu items to choose from.

A gem that Richmonders tend to take for granted because Chez Foushee has been a staple for so long. We'll not make that mistake again. The restaurant is incredibly appointed with high ceilings and a color scheme that seems to create light. The service was outstanding - the waiter noticed our poached eggs were cooked solid & had the kitchen remake our meals without us saying a word about it, except thank you. Once the eggs were cooked correctly, the Benedict brunches (one traditional, one crabcake) were fantastic with a hollandaise sauce that is probably the best in the city. The brunch cocktail menu was a great blend of both traditionals and new takes on old favorites. We are so happy that Chez Foushee quietly continues to be a Richmond delight.

We got the best seats in the house! This is such a nice, little place with plenty of huge windows and a beautiful marble bar. The service was great...food came out quickly. They changed my meal to suit me more but forgot two of the ingredients the meal was supposed to come with...which made the meal not taste so great. Aside from that, it didnt have much hollandaise and the fries were tasteless. For RVA, the food is probably pretty good, but for NOVA its mediocre. I usually don't have to ask for hot sauce, at a place like this, but I did. Otherwise the place was beautiful and service was amazing.

Diners be aware if you have a reservation it does not guarantee you a table for 2 hours like the website states. I recently dined here with my cousin on my last weekend visiting Richmond. We were seated at a small table in the dining room. The food was just decent not fabulous and the service was sub-par to what you would expect in a nicer establishment. I had a reservation at 6 and almost immediately after my desert was served we were asked to get up and move tables to accommodate a large reservation. We had not been seated for more than 1 hr and 30 minutes before being asked to move and i reluctantly moved to not make a scene. I was visibly upset and hoped the management or staff would do something to make it right but no one apologized and nothing was compensated off my bill for the terrible service. The wait staff was not as attentive as you would expect paying over $200 for dinner. I wrote a private review via resy and a manager called offering if I came back he would offer a discount. I would never go back to that establishment and spend more money just to get “a free appetizer” and he failed to make things right knowing I was from out of town and leaving. My recommendation is to eat somewhere else. This establishment is not worth the price and the service was subpar. Just know your table and reservation is not guaranteed and they seem to think asking people to stop mid dinner to move is standard. I don’t think anyone’s reservation should be more important than another. The service and management seem to be...

Absolutely beautiful and unique restaurant. Professional, warm and welcoming staff. Lovely atmosphere, especially with the piano accompaniment some evenings.

Sadly the menu never changes and offers no entree special courses. If the usual classic fare was always on point it would be fine, but our dinner this evening was sadly lacking.

Our fried oysters were excellent. But we both chose the hanger steak with frites. This was served on a very crowded plate with limp fries and the green beans for all but absentee. This type of steak requires significant tenderizing, usually by marinating for a number of hours in advance. Unfortunately ours was not nearly tender enough.

We couldn't see paying $120 for a bottle of Barboursville Octagon when we've been to that nearby vineyard/winery and even stayed in their inn countless times. I wish they had offered our favorite, the lower priced Petite Verdot instead.

I would definitely go back for happy hour at the bar and music thoug not necessarily for dinner again...

Side note: I love afternoon tea and have done many - DC, NYC, Chicago and even the UK. I brought my three sisters to CF for tea in 2023. The food was definitely very good but there was not nearly enough of it. I always return home with a 'doggy bag', that time I returned home hungry. My hopes are that this has improved, but I wasn't willing to pay the price for a...

My recent dining experience at Chez Foushee was absolutely superb and easily one of the best I've ever had. It's an authentic French restaurant, not just in its exquisite cuisine but also in its wonderfully charming and genuine atmosphere. I choose this place because my wife loves French food and I'm glad I did.

The service throughout the evening was excellent, attentive without being intrusive, and truly enhanced our meal. A special shout-out goes to Cole, who did a fantastic job taking care of us. His recommendations were spot-on, and his professional and friendly demeanor made our evening even more enjoyable.

And as for the food, every dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and prepared with incredible skill. It's no exaggeration to say that the food at Chez Foushee is some of the best I have ever had. We each got a hanger steak and it was cooked to a perfect medium rare as requested. I'm already dreaming of my next visit to savor their delectable offerings again. If you're looking for an authentic French dining experience with impeccable service and unforgettable food, Chez Foushee is an...
