Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Richmond

May 26, 2025-I recently added the Dairy Queen app to my phone, and I got a free Small Shake. I decided to get a Small Vanilla Shake, and a Medium Diet Coke. The shake was delicious and creamy. This is great for a treat. UPDATE: June 7, 2025-I decided to come back, and I ordered a Medium Reese's Blizzard and a Medium Diet Coke. This was great! I could taste the Reese's in the Blizzard, and it was delicious. It was a once in a while treat. UPDATE: June 24, 2025-The last Blizzard I had was good, so I decided to try another one. This time, I ordered a Medium Mint Oreo Blizzard and a Medium Diet Coke. This was just as delicious as the last one! UPDATE: July 22, 2025-I decided to try another Blizzard, a Medium Superman Cake Batter Cookie Dough Blizzard, along with a Diet Coke. The Blizzard was blue, like Superman's outfit, and it was delicious. They put it out in conjunction with the Superman movie, and it obviously will be a limited time only items. UPDATE: August 20, 2025-I had a Small Vanilla Shake, and a Medium Reese's Caramel Craze Blizzard. It was very delicious, especially the Blizzard. It was a limited time only item, so I had to try it , even though it was high in calories. UPDATE: September 28, 2025-I had to try the Medium Pumpkin Pie Blizzard, since it was a limited time item, and a Medium Vanilla Shake. The Pumpkin Pie Blizzard was well worth it for this time of year...

Unfortunately this location was a big disappointment. There was a long line and after getting to the window I was told they were out of everything I had planned on ordering. Both hot food and cold items were unavailable. I decided to get the 8 piece chicken chunk combo. I was given a box with maybe 3 normal sized chunks and 4 extremely small pieces of chicken that weren't even a full bite for my three year old. We didn't get any fries or sides just the chicken pieces and a drink... that's not a combo last I'd checked. Needless to say we won't...

I'm glad Dairy Queen has reopened for the season. I used to live closer to my favorite location on N. 9th Street where I frequently popped in to pick up a container of frozen ice cream for my freezer and a quick treat! Using inconvenience as an excuse, I slurped down the biggest vanilla cone they had as a consolation prize - it was even better than my memory!
