If you are a vegan or vegetarian beware that they have real meat as well. On their website it says they are 100% Vegan. I went to the restaurant today having the impression that everything was vegan and vegetarian and I follow a very strict religion where meat is a big no. I had also taken one of my church family members with me as I thought it was vegan as stated on the website. I ordered a chicken pizza and my church family member ordered a sausage and banana peppers pizza. I went up to the counter after I ate my meal to ask the guy which vegan chicken it was and he said that it was not vegan and I thought he was joking and I replied with "so is it vegetarian then" He said it was real chicken. I thought he was joking so I went to another employee to double check and I asked them if they serve real meat and they said yes. I was very disturbed as I have never ate meat since day one. I told them that I was a vegetarian and that I thought the restaurant was vegan. They said that they got a new management and changed up the entire menu. It would have been helpful to know that before hand and they should have put that on their website. They ended up refunding our money and apologizing. I will not be returning back to this restaurant...
Read moreI'll start with the bad and end with the good. The bad: I've only been here once, but will be back again, and the time I went, the service was painfully slow, it took over 2 hours for us to get our food. There was only one employee working, and this was on a Friday night. I don't blame her, she did the best she could, but was overwhelmed with walk in customers, internet, and call in orders. The poor lady was running the register, answering the phone, making the food, with no help whatsoever.
The good: The food was fantastic! Between myself and my friends, we had pizza, a vegan gyro, and the vegan burger. My vegan friends said it was some of the best they ever had, and the non-vegan pizza I had was pretty darn good as well. The lone employee, despite literally doing everything herself, was super friendly and apologized repeatedly for the long wait. She was in a tough situation, but definitely handled it better than I would have. I would have walked.
To the owner/ manager of Fresca on Addison: This would have been a five star review. Don't leave one employee in there by herself on a Friday night. Or eventually you'll find yourself with no customers or employees to...
Read moreFresca On Addison is hands down one of the best small restaurants we’ve come across, in the area and it has become a regular spot for us. This cozy little place offers a variety of delicious, high-quality food that’s made from scratch, and it shows in every bite. Their pizza is simply outstanding—perfectly baked with fresh toppings and a crust that’s just right. But it doesn’t stop there; their other menu items are equally impressive, offering a range of tasty options for everyone.
One thing that really stands out is their vegan menu. It’s rare to find vegan food that’s this good, with so much attention to flavor and detail. Honestly, for the vegan dishes alone, this place deserves praise! Some of these 1-star reviews left by picky customers really don’t do justice to the effort and quality that Fresca puts into its food.
The restaurant is always clean, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff are friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall great experience. Whether you’re grabbing a quick pizza or trying out something new, you can’t go wrong here. Fresca On Addison is a true neighborhood treasure, and we’ll keep coming back...
