I would just like to start out by saying that this may be slightly long winded, so Iâll apologize in advance, but itâs truly much deserved in every aspect and I want the world to know: The idea of permanent makeup is definitely a pretty big decision. Being that itâs something thatâs âtrendingâ more so than ever, salons that offer these services are a dime a dozen these days, which can make it a little overwhelming trying to choose the right place for you. Seriously yâall: look no further than Atelier. I cannot even begin to describe how amazing my experience with these ladies has been. My sister and I chose this salon to get our eyebrows microbladed even though itâs a little over 2 hours of a drive to get to from where we live. Today was our 8 week touch up appointment with Miche (who is just the cutest and sweetest thing ever) and I am ECSTATIC with my results! ALL of the lovely ladies there are incredibly talented, very knowledgeable, and you can tell just how much they truly love what they do for a living AND how much they value their clients. Every step of the process, from start, to even what to expect after they finish is explained very well. You donât ever have to freak out and wonder if what youâre experiencing is normal (because there is a slightly unglamorous side of enhancing your natural beauty- but donât worry, the results make it so worth it). They immediately make you feel welcomed and comfortable with their bubbly personalities and smiling faces, but the salon itself is so inviting as well. Itâs bright, open, and most importantly: noticeably clean and sanitary. They also carry a few local and handmade beauty products, which I love because it shows their support for other small businesses. The whole appointment process was a breeze. Everything can be done online, and they send out appointment confirmations as well as reminders. After care was provided in little sealed personalized packages, and I can attest to the fact that they are easily reachable for any questions you may have during the healing process and for follow up appointments. Miche even sent us a little handwritten post card after our first appointment, just to make sure the healing process was going well, and to thank us for coming in. Who takes the time to do that anymore?!?!? Those are the little sentiments and details that set Atelier apart from the rest. Youâre not just another transaction there- youâre like a new addition to their little family. And isnât that how everyone wants to feel at the end of the day with such an important decision and investment?? Overall, I could not be any more satisfied with my experience at Atelier. The incredibly talented, Miche, made me a whole new woman with my AMAZING new fluffy brows, and I am now considering going back for one of their many other services that they offer. If youâre on the fence about permanent makeup, eyelash extensions, lip tint, tooth gems, etc.: donât be. Just as long as you GO TO ATELIER for any and all of their services!!! I am for sure a client for life, and I have and will continue to recommend everyone I can to this salon. They have more than proved their skill, knowledge, professionalism, warm natured personalities, and attention to...
Read moreMy ratings is based on my lash extension experience with lash technician Sable. I would not recommend any Black/BIPOC to get any lash servicing done here. I canât speak on their other services though. I received lash extension last month and they only lasted a couple days before they fell out almost completely in one eye. I have waited to leave a review because the technician made me feel like because I didnât have the straight âwhiteâ lashes she was used to servicing that I wasnât a good candidate for lash extension. While, she did not state that directly, it was heavily implied. She kept referring to my lashes as âcurly,â during and after my servicing. It wasnât until I complained about my one eye not retaining at all, that I was told I wasnât a good candidate for lashes. Initially, my âcurlyâ lashes as Sable referred to them as, I was told that having these types of lashes would require more skill from the technician. It wasnât mentioned that I wasnât a good candidate at all until after I complained. I however have found a wonderful technician with a more diverse clientele than at this studio and have had no issues. I left 1 star instead of 0 because Sable did attempt to resolve my issues after a lot of back and forth . However, it is important that BIPOC people know that instead of completely turning you away because they arenât skilled in applying lash extensions on what was referred to as âcurlyâ lashes, they will take your money and blame your lashes as the issue. Luckily for me, Iâve had a much better experience elsewhere and was reassured that my lashes are actually normal and there should be no issue with...
Read moreFirst off, scheduling on the website is terrible. You are forced to make a deposit initially, as well as when you reschedule. I was told by more than one person to just schedule another appointment and they wouldnât make me put down an additional deposit to fix things, but that never happened. Also, when you make multiple deposits, you are forced to supply proof to the receptionist when you pay for service, as if they donât believe that you made multiple deposits already. This happened to me TWICE.
Secondly, Devan devastated me. My eyebrows were HORRID. For months. When she outlined my initial tattoo, I told her three times that they looked too big. I only wanted color added the where the hair grows and lays naturally. She didnât listen and kept combing my eyebrow hair STRAIGHT UP. She then repeatedly promised that they would significantly shrink upon healing, which is why sheâs doing it this way. She huffed and insisted that she was outlining them perfectly with my face, so I trusted her since I had never had this done before. Well, I ended up looking like a circus clown. The toll that this has taken on my self esteem is irreparable.
Patience is wonderful and the ONLY reason I would return. She did my eyeliner, & I love it. She also performed saline removal of Devanâs eyebrow work. It helped some, though much of it remains MONTHS later to be hidden by makeup daily.
I followed ALL of the instructions to a T for healing, but you cannot even tell my lip tinting was done now. No...
