I just had a very rude and inconsiderate experience with an employee of this cafe. I was so happy to return to this place after having the best food and even brought in new customers. I ordered the same exact meal as I did last time but when I was ready to pay, I noticed the price was a little higher than last time. When I ordered my meal, I requested extras of the dill mayo and dressing on the side and the lady checking me out told me that they up charge for them which caused the price difference. I told her that the guy that took my ordered didn’t mention there would be an up charge for them and when I requested them last time, they were given to me complimentary. She basically told me that it didn’t cost that much more so why is it such a big deal for me not to pay for them. Again, I expressed to her why I wasn’t going to pay for them and asked her to remove them from my bill. She responded with an attitude and kept repeating that it’s only a couple of dollars more. She continued to give me awful service, rolling her eyes and didn’t even say anything else to me for the rest of the interaction and on my way out. How inconsiderate could you be? What if I didn’t have any other money to my name? I would’ve appreciated if she just at least comped them for the inconvenience since she didn’t think the price difference was much. That was just awful service and this definitely caused you to...
Read moreI picked up an iced malted mocha latte and a breakfast burrito with sausage this morning and immediately knew I had to write a review. I’m visiting Richmond for a few weeks and have tried a couple of the highly reviewed coffee shops in the area (roastology & Ironclad). While they were good, they didn’t leave me wanting to rush back. Greenbriar left me wanting to run back and hand over my wallet and maybe even my first born child. This place is incredibly good. The iced malted mocha latte was incredibly creamy with a perfect dose of chocolate. I haven’t had a latte this good since visiting Seattle two years ago. The breakfast burrito was incredible and enormous. The sausage was nice and spicy, the eggs were perfectly scrambled, and the pico was on on-point. It is definitely big enough to split or save some for later. It was counter service with a few tables outside to wait so I wouldn’t recommend trying to work/study from there. Overall this place is a hidden gem with delicious coffee and tasty food. I highly recommend it and I’m only sad that I found this place in my...
Read moreDo you remember that episode of SpongeBob where he has to compete with King Neptune to make the best burger? The one where Neptune makes 1000 mediocre burgers and SpongeBob takes his time making just one, but it’s the tastiest and best burger there was?
That’s how Greenbriar Cafe is compared to every coffee shop in Richmond when it comes to breakfast sandwiches. Their food and drinks can take a little bit of time to make and some days they’re high in demand, but everything is made with love and the portions are worth the money. Highly recommend their breakfast sandwich with sausage as they make their pattys in house and are almost as thick as a burger, and if you need something to cover both breakfast and lunch, their burritos are massive.
Every month they update their menu with fun drink specials too. Highly recommend this coffee spot for regulars and visitors from...
