This review is for my takeout order. This place was recommended to me by someone local, and I ordered the Al Pastor tacos and queso dip for takeout. I confirmed the food came with chips and tried to order a second small bag of chips for my queso just to have extra, and the person told me the queso dip also came with chips and made it sound like I wouldn’t need to purchase a bag on top of these. I got my food and got home, and couldn’t believe how pitiful the servings in the bags of chips were. I order Mexican take out like once a week from different places, and never have I not received a full to the top bag of complimentary chips. I didn’t expect a huge bag, but them being this empty was ridiculous. Both bags dumped together did not fill one bag. There was maybe 10 chips in each bag. This just seems cheap, and on arguably the cheapest product. Some of the chips were almost dripping with grease, too.
The tacos weren’t very redeeming either. Single tortillas instead of double, one single piece of pineapple for each taco, and no habanero salsa to be found. The flavor of the meat was good and it was cooked well. Side of rice and beans was fine, and a normal, expected portion size.
Queso was about half the serving size of what I receive on takeout orders from all other Mexican places I’ve been to. Not a lot of flavor and was cold and congealed in the 15 mins it took me to get home.

Read moreMy wife and I recently visited Little Mexico, spurred by a viral Instagram post that piqued our interest. As the first patrons upon the restaurant's opening, our initial excitement waned as our dining experience unfolded.
Upon taking our seats, we promptly ordered a diverse selection from the menu. Surprisingly, within 10 minutes, our entire order was presented simultaneously. This raised concerns about the freshness of the food, as it seemed unlikely to be prepared to order. Our suspicions were confirmed when we found the dishes to be lukewarm, indicating they may have been from the previous day.
Moving on to the taste, the culinary experience was acceptable but failed to surpass our expectations. Having sampled better offerings from other Mexican restaurants in the past, we couldn't help but feel underwhelmed.
While the ambiance and service were commendable, the swift delivery of all dishes and the lack of temperature freshness left us with mixed feelings about our visit to Little Mexico. We believe that with some adjustments, the restaurant has the potential to offer a more satisfying...
Read moreI used to come here regularly, but after today’s experience, I don’t see myself returning. We came to celebrate Father’s Day, and things went downhill from the start. After being seated, no one came to take our drink or food orders for at least 15–20 minutes. Eventually, the host — who seemed to notice the delay — came over and took our order around the 20-minute mark.
When the food finally arrived, two out of the three orders were incorrect, and one entrée didn’t come out at all. My dad had to wait another 15 minutes after the rest of us had been served to receive his food. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially since we were there to celebrate him.
They did offer a discount for the issues, but it was less than the cost of a single entrée — which felt like poor management and an inadequate gesture given the circumstances. On top of that, they automatically added an 18% gratuity despite the fact that this was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had in my memory.
Unfortunately, this visit put a damper on what was supposed to be a special day, and I won’t...
