I got the buffalo chicken wrap and a peanut butter cup smoothie delivered from an app. It arrived totally sealed. The smoothie is delicious. Some of the ingredients were solid on the sides or bottom, but I didn’t mind. Problem lies with the buffalo wrap. I open the sealed bag, take my to go box out, open it, and they GOT me. They threw every microscopic crumb they had all over my box and decided that was my side of chips. I had 4 chips that were larger than a quarter, none of them were whole chips. I then moved my wrap and saw a hair in the corner of my tray where my wrap was touching. Then I pick up the wrap, because I’ll excuse a hair sometimes, and see what looks like mouse poop laying under it. It could of course be a burned something? But nothing else in the wrap looks like that. Really wish I didn’t spend $25 (not including tax&tips on app) on this. It was a triple whammy with the chips, hair, and suspicious...

For how cute this place is, I was very disappointed with today’s service. I have been here before, but it has never been this bad. We got two types of avacado toast (which, yes, we could make at home but we were seeing if they could elevate it) - seemed like the kitchen forgot to put the flavor in the food. There was no salt of lemon to counter the creaminess of the avacado. In addition, the egg was overdone - i could have made a better egg at home. Finally, I was excited to try a new drink ( I always get a smoothie) so I opted for the chai tea latte. It was so bitter I asked for it to be remade, and that’s when I realized it really was just that gross. I dumped it out after I walked out the door. Can’t believe I wasted $4 on that. I felt bad for the employees. They did not seem happy, and it came out in the food...

While I used to love the Pit and the Peel, my experience today was awful. I moved out of state and haven’t been here since they rebranded and changed the menu. Gone is the cozy atmosphere and menu that I loved. It has instead been replaced by decor that looks like that of any other smoothie bar I’ve ever been to and a lackluster menu that is just not cohesive or good (minus the smoothies and smoothie bowls, which have stayed relatively true to the original menu). I ordered the “BLT” today and it was literally an open faced piece of toast with avocado, 2 halved cherry tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and crusty bacon. For $8. I miss the old Pit and the Peel where the menu was thoughtful, the food was good, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The restaurant I went to was none of those things. Will probably...

First of all had to wait for the woman taking orders to stop texting before she took my order. Then asked if I could get cream cheese tomato and egg on a sandwich. The woman rang it up as an egg cheese tomato with cream cheese and began to raise her voice at me and wave her hands when I was confused why I would need to pick a slice of cheese when I already said I just wanted cream cheese. Finally got that settled and I kid you not my sandwich has half a grape tomato on it as the only tomato (see photo). Then waited 17 min before letting them know I was still waiting on my latte when no one else was in the store and they just forgot to make it because they were talking and on their phones. Made it in literally 2 minutes after that.
