I used to come here almost every day while I was at VCU and lived down the street. It was one of my favorite places in the neighborhood. I just went back for the first time in 15 years (after moving away from RVA). It's so nice to see that this lovely place is still here. I don't normally notice much difference in drip coffee (it's either good or bad... strong or weak basically) but the one they serve there is noticeably excellent and some of the best I've ever had. The prices are super reasonable. Stefa and Katherine served me and my friend. They were friendly, helpful and patient. Really nice to meet the owner, Quillin. I hope she's proud of her much deserved (and hopefully continued) success and contribution to local culture. Great vibe, kind people, cool art, good music, interesting stuff to read... places like this make Richmond the city it is. :)

One of my absolute favorite Richmond spots. Harrison Street consistently provides fast fresh yummy food. They also offer great drinks. The atmosphere radiates the vibe of Richmond and the staff are friendly. I do wish they still offered for-here mugs not only for the experience but also to reduce unnecessary waste.

Harrison Street Cafe is one of our few Vegetarian restaurants in town. Almost everything on the menu has a vegan option too. Their food is always good - well seasoned, big portions, and great texture. I believe they make their vegan meats in-house too. They have great talent in their kitchen.

I had the falafel burger and some fruit, my husband had the super falafel sub and the vegan french toast. The food was very good and flavorful. I wasn't happy that I asked what type of fruit came in the fruit salad and when asked for no oranges she said there was no way to separate it out but once you receive the fruit salad it is pretty obvious that they cut the fruit individually to place it in the bowl and removing one item should not have been a problem. But otherwise the service was good. The atmosphere is young and trendy which makes sense since it is in a college district. Be advised there is not a true waiter/waitress service here, you clean your own table and order at the front like at a take out spot. I would have given it 5 stars but I can't stand a restaurant that doesn't have a changing station in the restroom or good options for parking. But overall it was a...

My friend recommended we come here after she had been here once before. We were in town for a concert and decided to come up early, from Hampton, to grab brunch here. We ordered the vegan french toast and vegan popeye burrito. Both were INCREDIBLY delicious! The french toast was by far my favorite french toast I've ever had, not just vegan kind. It was just the perfect size thickness, spongy and not too sweet. The burrito was also really tasty. The "sausage" was seasoned perfect and it had a nice hot sauce in it. I added some extra hot sauce cause I like mine a little more spicy.

I am definitely coming back ... in fact we tried to come back after the show and they were closing early for a special event they were hosting :-/

The price is great, the food is better. Definitely recommend coming here when you're in Richmond! Even if...
