Mercurio's Pizza — Restaurant in Richmond

Best pizza in Richmond. Usually in other states or cities the lack of operating hours means the food is great. I’ve noticed the main New York pizza places that are renowned have the same hours as Mercurios. As inconvenient that it can be to have a small window of time to order food, it’s worth it. I ordered a meat lovers style pizza. There was so much on the pizza, that just a couple slices are fulfilling. And each slice is square so they aren’t large slices in a traditional sense. The meatball sub was so great. Maybe the silent star of the meal. When a pizza is the best I’ve had in years that says a lot for me. However a meatball sub id never bet on that being as great as it was. Taste a little bit like a buca depo meatball, or your Italian grandmothers meatballs.That recipe you wish you would have gotten before she passed away type of meatball since the 90s. Typical rule of thumb is; if your pizza comes with a large foil sheet on top of it....

Absolutely the best pizza in Richmond I use to really like pizza king into i tried this place.... omg it's loaded with product it's not skimpy , they're not afraid giving to much ☺ once you've ate all that your tummy can handle refrigerate the left overs and all that extra topping that falls into the box makes the prefect burritos so make sure you have tortillas the day you get your pizza and omg and grab some mild nacho cheese it goes prefect on the tortilla it's also good with regular bread or mini sub buns.... the only complaint that I have is they should be open everyday weather permitting and of course holidays but ide like to be able to get their awesome pizza whenever I'm in the mood for it 😉maybe being open 4pm to midnight Monday through Saturday and Sunday as well depending upon your beliefs .. thanks for your awesome food and great...

From the moment you step into this carry out spot, you can tell this is going to be special. I can honestly say the deluxe pizza is the best pizza I have had in my entire life... and at my age that says a lot 😂. I read other reviews that said the same and I expected nothing as good as this. No overpowering sauce, crust is enough to hold up this powerhouse of meat and peppers and onions without distracting from the toppings. Hard to find anything close to this in the oversaturated chain pizza Midwest. Truly a standout and why people travel many miles to pick this up.
