MonRoach Park Towers.
Infested with German Cockroaches top to bottom. There's roaches under the carpet, you cant stop them, spray, bait, gas, bomb; even if you killed them all. More will come from down the hall. When one unit is treated the roaches scatter to the next, theres a whole tower for them to hide in. German cockroaches are impossible to get rid of. All your furniture and things will be a new hiding spot for a roach. When moving out, your furniture and boxes will be harboring them allowing them to hitch a ride to your new apartment. The Hell never ends
First laundry day, Was met with green dirty washing machines. They are not free, and only one was working out of the few they had. Places gives me the creeps. I washed clothes in the tub all year.
On the street corner is a schizophrenic man, he screams and hollers and arges with himself and nobody all day everyday. The rainy days you could enjoy some quiet. Don't know if he is still there, but thats his spot.
The people who lived in their unit above mine, dumped dirty soapy water a few times soaking my balcony chairs, that was nice.
There was a day that furniture was thrown from the top of the tower and shattering on the street below. A loud "SMACK!" drew my attention and I went out on the balcony to see closet doors and other pieces of furniture hurled off the tower and crashing into the street.
For about 2 weeks straight everynight, like clockwork at 3am there would be a man outside screaming "YO!" and he'd repeat this YO until someone let him into the building. One night, another resident, was so fed up he hollered back "shut up its 3 in the morning", or something along those lines. In which the man screaming outside responded "IM JUST TRYNA SEE MY FWIEND". After that exchange of words came the "YO!" once again.
I was talking with this person who lived on one of the higher floors, apparently her neighbor had lit his couch on fire and tore the wall down between the neighbor's apartment and the victim's apartment.
One evening someone threw beer bottles off their balcony and a few young gentlemen down below in the parking lot hollered at this someone. This someone proceeded to chunk beer bottles at the car, then the young men from the parking lot made some threats and came running to the building. I assume they got inside as they did not return to the parking lot for some time.
Pretty sure this building qualifies for section 8 housing.
I understand management really can't fix these issues, but people are entitled to hear my renters experience.
Do yourself a favor and find an apartment complex outside richmond city and take the bus or commute into the city...
Read moreI am so truly thankful, grateful to live at Monroe Park Towers! It is my home. I have lived here for 5 years. Has it all been wonderful? I have had my times when it was stressful BUT it wasn’t the Management’s fault. The location is prime. I love having the ability to walk out of the building and be able to access stores, eating establishments, etc. The ability to go to the Park, to catch a Bus to anywhere or to just walk.
Management is awesome in my opinion. Whenever I was in need of their help, they were always ready to help me and the situation was successfully completed.
Sarah is the epitome of Efficiency. Professionalism par Excellence! By her actions, the atmosphere within the Building is at the top of the Positive Scale. She is available to help any Resident when in need. She is very respectful. Understanding. The Residents are her MAIN concern.
I love the Maintenance Crew! They are simply wonderful and they explain what they are doing or what is being done to correct and while correcting the problem. What a great group of Gentleman!
When I have been unwell, I have been visited for a check on my welfare. Who, at any other establishment, can state that Management cares enough to check on their Residents?
Others may complain but I cannot. I cannot speak for them. I can only speak for myself.
As I have stated, I am thankful, grateful to have lived here for 5 years. I would like to stay for my 6th year but who can see the future?
I am a “Happy Camper”. The area is lively. Life happens. Life is lived here in all its pleasures and pains.
This is my POV. You have to check it out for your purposes. By the way, it is wonderful to have Jimmy John’s next door. You...
Read moreDo not believe the listings on this website. On Dec. 17, 2021, I applied for Apartment #1707 at Monroe Park Towers. I paid $90 in application fees for both me and my girlfriend. My girlfriend called Monroe Park Towers at 9:00 AM EST on Dec. 18, 2021 to try and schedule a tour. She was told that no units were available. I checked Monroe Park Towers’ website and saw that the unit was still listed as available. It was also still listed as available on apartments.com. I then called the Monroe Park Towers leasing office at 1:00 PM EST Dec. 18, 2021, to try and clear the issue up. I was also told that no units were available. When I pointed out that the listing was still on their website and apartments.com, it was made clear to me that the leasing office was aware that these listings were still up but someone was moving in already so they were no longer considering applicants. I requested a refund as I’d applied to an apartment that wasn’t available but was being advertised as ready. I was told that application fees were non-refundable. No man hours will go into processing my application. There was no apartment to apply for. No goods or services were exchanged for my money. Furthermore, as of 7:00 PM EST last night (Dec. 22, 2021) the listing was still up. You could still apply for this apartment and give Monroe Parks Towers free money. I have several days worth of screenshots to prove it. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn’t question a company’s refund policy, but this is just in bad taste. There’s no telling how much free money this company received from this while the listing dishonestly...
