Outback Steakhouse — Restaurant in Richmond

I really try to be understanding because I’ve worked in restaurants when I was younger but I would want to know before I got there that this is how feedback is handled. I went to the outback to get something to eat and it was probably the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. I ordered the chicken and ribs and the salad came out and 30 seconds later the food was already there I asked the server if they could take my food and keep it warm until I was finished with my salad even though I still didn’t have a beverage of bread she said she would get the manager. I asked her not to because I didn’t want to formally complain I just wanted them to keep it warm for me the manager came out anyway and that’s where the wheels fell off. She wanted to argue with me. she said I know for a fact Your food didn’t come out that fast and so I tried to just shut it down and say OK I’m sorry have a good day she continued to stand and argue with me and I ask her please can I get my beverage and eat my meal. A few minutes later she comes back and starts arguing again. whatever you do do not eat at the outback steakhouse in Richmond and if for some reason you do anyway don’t sit in the bar area. it’s not the bartenders fault but they expect her to wait on everyone and make the drinks for the rest of the restaurant with no help. they really need to get her some help and they really need to train the manager on how to deal with the public. My wife loves this restaurant. We have eaten at the one in Lexington several times. This was our first stop at the one in Richmond. The sever was very nice and waited on us immediately after we were seated, and very quickly took our order. Unfortunately it took over thirty minutes to get our food, which I can kinda understand because of how busy it was. The food was hot and delicious when it finally arrived. Upon finishing our meal the server brought us our check and when intended to get dessert but he never asked if we wanting anything, so I decided to order anyway. We ordered a single piece of cheesecake but since we had already been there for so long we ordered it to go. My wife had asked for a to-do plate for the remainder of her meal. The server brought the plate and told us that the cheesecake would be right out. And then we were waiting again. 35 mins went by and the server passed out table several time. Finally I stopped him and asked about the cheesecake. He looked and saw my wife's to go plate and assumed that was the cheesecake all along. He apologized several times and promptly got the cheesecake. Because of how long we had to wait on things during this visit I could not give the best rating but I am hoping this wait...

My husband and I took his parents to lunch today to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. We had an absolutely wonderful meal! Not only was the food fantastic, but our server (didn't get her name) was equally fantastic. She was serving the area right in front of the bar, wearing black frame glasses and had darker blonde hair with a touch of green dye. She was friendly, answered any questions, kept our drinks full and made sure we had everything we needed and she did it all with a smile! The bread was warm and fresh and the whipped butter made it perfect. We of course had the bloomin' onion and it was crispy and delicious. We all did the Steak N Mate plates. Husband had the ribeye with coconut shrimp, I had the sirloin with chicken on the barbie, mother in law had the crab topped barramundi and father in law also had the ribeye with coconut shrimp. We also had cups of the baked potato soup. There’s NOTHING bad to say about anything we ate. Everything was hot, fresh and amazing across the board. The restaurant itself was very clean too. I honestly can't remember the last time I had a meal as good as Outback was today and the wonderful service was just the cherry on top. Thank you all so much and we'll be back...
