The Botany Bay — Local services in Richmond

(CHANGED) I really like this place my only complaint is I feel like im bein watched like a hawk but I understand im sure they've had alot of a**holes come in and take what isn't theres... It's quite a bit more laid back and now having the people there it feels more like they are there to help and assist you not to hover over you at every moment much better... Oh and 1 last thing they're membership system I wish they would change it it's all fine except that you have to remember your phone number you used if it had been a long long time since u had been in there and for some reason had to have your number changed once or twice and you can't remember what number you used them you lose anything you had on there I also think that every dollar spent should add up points towards gifts rewards discounts etc and say u got 100 pts. I think there should be 3 or 4 things to pick from in your tier like example at 100 pts u become a bronze member and don't make it confusing your dollar value should always be 10% of what your points reflect 100 pts.= $10 then in your tier u have the choice of $10 off or a special dabber or carb cap etc then your last choice should be an entry into a monthly raffle I think that possibly could get ppl more inclined to following thru also a membership may be something to look into and have a membership card and put a lil gate right before the adult area and u have to swipe...

I rarely write reviews, However,, My wife & I went in and parted as she was interested in a different rack. the first thing i saw was a rack full of Natural remedies in plain packages I had never seen before. I was happy to pay the low prices. I remembered another ingredient in my Pappy's medicine! Then I continue upstairs to see the pretty glass stuff. I even enjoyed the chalkboard walls provided in the relief room.. I love graffiti! ENCOURAGED BY NOW! I spoke with the upstairs man for education. and traded stories. Then downstairs to get another education. Super nice young guy well spoken educated me on a product I had read about for hours. I told him I wasn't interested in a fancy package and I found what I had only seen in pictures in my study.. He sent me away with what I came in for & an education paper. I accidentally left with your pen. I'm sorry. It's promo pen. I will give it away. And I listened to a regular local guy for a great testimonial for the store. I received a discount at the counter, Again she looked very familiar and friendly. I live nearly 4 hours away. I would make the trip and probably will just to visit this 5 star place. I hope you 3 remember that old guy! Young or old, you need to see this Place. Let him who speaks evil of it be ashamed :) I did not leave broke. I've been going to Botany Bay for YEARS. And I mean at least a decade. And I've always loved it. Loved the shop and loved the employees. I like it so much I've written reviews for them in the past about how great they are. Today changed my mind completely. I was told explicitly that I'm not allowed on my phone while I'm in the shop and was then yelled at while I walked out. It was absolutely disgraceful. Some new employee I've never seen before must be on some power trip,cause she was rude as heck. Even the other employee who was at the counter helping me looked at her crazy while she was chastising me and accusing me of "taking orders" on the phone. I was talking to MY MOM 😵‍💫 At this point I don't know if I'll ever be back with the way she treated me. Which sucka because I've spent a lot there and it was my favorite shop. Sooooo disappointed.
