Ice Cream: 5/5
The ice cream is amazing. I do not consider myself an ice cream enthusiast. Most ice cream just tastes sweet to me but mostly unimpressive, but their ice cream blows flavor out of the water. They have many flavors and I'm very excited to try as many of them as I can. So far, I've tried cookie dough, eyes wide open, butterscotch bomb. They've all been amazing. The butterscotch bomb was actually too butterscotchy for me, so they weren't joking about the flavor profiles!
They have an ice cream flavor that is the exact brilliant blue of the Cookie monster, which has cookie dough and cookie bits. It looks like it causes cancer, but I still think that it's absolutely brilliant. Whoever makes their flavors is a genius.

For the quality of ice cream you get, it's worth the value. .. Assuming you get what you asked for. Read below!
Service: 4/5
We have been repeat customers. Since we live so close, we no longer keep ice cream in the fridge. When we want a frozen treat, we walk down to the sweet shop. MOST of the time, the service is stellar.
However, the most recent time I was treated incredibly rudely by one of the staff. I am someone who is EXTREMELY lenient with poor service. I often equate bad service = good food. But I am not tolerant of RUDE service.
I asked for ice cream in a cone, which he turned upside down into a cup when I was watching the TV screen hanging on the wall.
This defeats the point of having ice cream in a cone. I told him: That's not what I asked for. He then continued to scold me about how the ice cream was too warm, and would have dripped all over the store. I asked if I could just take the ice cream in a cup (i.e. without the cone sticking up top). He condescendingly informed me that the store doesn't charge for the cup.
I have never seriously considered not paying for something until today. I'm standing there looking at this sorry small cup of melted ice cream with a ridiculous cone sitting up top. This pathetic display is going to cost me over $5.00. I'm not without means, but I know I am getting ripped off.
The other attendant (maybe manager?) asks if I want additional ice cream to my ice cream soup, which I decline. I just want to leave. She then apologizes for the presentation of the ice cream. At this point, I'm more upset by how I've been treated than about my ice cream.
After I left, my fiance got a magnificent mound of cherry maraschino vanilla ice cream. As I'm writing this review, he's sitting on the couch. He's as happy as a clam. They did give my husband a free scoop of ice cream for our troubles.
However, I'm still pretty miffed, so it will probably be a little while before I go back.
I will go back though. Their ice cream is amazing.
But I will be telling all my friends that they have someone who works there who is terrible at customer service.
Bottom line: The majority of the time, I have great service. It's great ice cream. You should give this place a shot. However, my advice to future customers is if you have one of the girl servers-- you'll be in good hands. If one of the really young male servers offers to take your order, you should wait for one of the...
Read moreI have been craving something cold and sugary. Originally, I planned on stopping by Shyndigz (always solid) but I drive past this place every single day on my way home from work and thought today was a good day to try it. It was on the top of my mind! They have cookies, cake slices, sometimes pie slices, coffee drinks, and a whole lot of ice creams.
I didn't get a picture of the ice cream cones. We devoured them. My order was two scoops of the Grape-Nuts ice cream in a matcha cone. I almost had decision paralysis on choosing a flavor until I saw that one. Grape-Nuts is my favorite (and the best??) cereal. I couldn't believe my eyes. I had to get it! And it is SO good. The ice cream is creamy, milky vanilla and the little delicious malty barley cereal pearls were oh-so-slightly chewy from being in the ice cream. Actual heaven. My favorite flavor has long been rum raisin. This is a clean competitor. I'm planning on coming back for more đ«
Okay, enough about my ice cream. My partner-in-crime ordered the cookie crumble non-dairy in a cinnamon sugar cone. I had a bit of it, and it was also delicious. The cone tasted very reminiscent of stroopwaffel cookies, if you've ever had those. Seriously good.
We also got a slice of German chocolate cake and bourbon pecan pie to take home and enjoy later. The cake selection was really varied.
The shop itself looked and felt extremely clean. They have bar counter style seating with stools and electrical outlets every two feet or so. Both of the employees working were courteous and focused on helping customers.
We will definitely be back âșïž Please don't ever take away that Grape-Nuts ice cream...
Read moreThis place gets a three star rating only on the selection, flavors and ingredients of the ice cream. Not the best, but tasty enough to subside your sugar craving.
I give a fair rating and I struggled on that last star. My problem was the staff. They werenât organized at all. There were 16 people (adults + kids) in line waiting to get served with only two workers taking orders and the other two cleaning a space smaller than my bathroom for almost 20 minutes. We waited a decent amount of time while we watched the two workers struggle to keep up and the other two sweep and wipe down the same 6x6 (being serious. Itâs a tight spot) space for more than 20 minutes. With the amount of people in line and the other two workers struggling, they should have stopped cleaning and helped. That guy literally swept that tight space for more than 20 minutes while customers in line were getting frustrated. Once it was my turn, I asked for a coffee with my ice cream and the poor girl acted like I was speaking a different language. She didnât know if they were serving coffee or not. She asked another employee and they didnât know. After about 3 minutes of confusion on weather to pour me some coffee or not, I said forget it. During all of the ordering and all the cleaning, one of the cleaners kept rudely inserted herself in personal spaces to clean the glass or floor etc. without saying excuse me.
The flavors are good and the place is neat and clean, but my first experience was not good at all. I will go back a couple more times and possibly update my review. Until then, this...
