Jersey Mike's Subs — Restaurant in Ridgefield

Thought a lot about giving 2 or 1 star, at the end settled with two because although is a little bit generous given my experience, one is probably unfair to the staff and quality of the ingredients.

2 out of every 3 times I order, the order turns to be fulfilled incorrectly, sometimes incorrect bread, other times missing ingredients, but today I got a totally different item. This happens to me so often that I hardly believe is nor happening to others as well. If I arrive home with my sub and has no peppers, not a problem, I get some from the pantry and put them, forgot to remove tomatoes, NOT a problem I'll take them off, regular bread instead of Parmigian bread, THAT IS ok, sub is still good, but when I get home and I get a totally different sub, that is a little but to far to compromise for me.

I called and they did my sub again, staff is good, courteous, and willing to address the situation, but when you already drove 12 mins each way to pick up your order, have have to go back again and come back home with the correct order, becomes almost impossible to fully cure the bad experience.

I don't think this has happened to me before this frequently, the store is definitely in need of some quality contros, or supervision.

I'll put my Jersey Mike's Thursdays on pause and start looking for...

Spent $20 on a sandwich and they assumed i dont want anything but what comes standard on the sandwich.. asked for “no jalapeño” somehow they still ended up on the sandwich. but then found it somehow humorous when I DID ask for veggies to be put on my sandwich. I decided to write this review when I noticed the sandwich maker took my sandwich out of the bag, opened the sandwich up, and put veggies on it, closed the sandwich back up and handed out to back over to me with a generous amount of grease on the outside of the paper from handling the sandwich and the wrapper all the with THE SAME GLOVES FROM THE LAST CUSTOMERS ORDER!!!! extremely fed up, so much so I didn’t even want to speak to the manager who had been chewing with his mouth open both behind the counter and on the sales floor. Truly a poorly run storefront. Loved Jersey Mike’s but this kinda ruined it for me....

I'm guessing that it doesn't happen often, but we were hit with 24 hour gastroenteritis mid-March, 2017, with the only food in common being a Jersey Mike's sub purchased close to their closing time 8 hours before the onset of the illness. Some of the ingredients thus, had apparently become tainted by this late hour in their operational day.

The staff and service are excellent, and their handling of ingredients and sandwich 'assembly' were exemplary, so this event was almost certainly an outgrowth of company procedures for food storage duration. Contrary to popular belief, the culprit is usually lettuce or another vegetable that's sat for just a little too long.

Though I believe indeed, that this experience is not characteristic of the business, it will be a while before we try any Jersey Mike's...
