I've been going to The Arby's location in Ridgeland MS on Lake Harbor Drive for several years typically 2-3 times a week. On Monday April 17th 2023 at approximately 2pm I placed my order in the drive thru loudspeaker and made my way to the window to pay for my food. I ordered a large classic Lemonade with my meal combo. When I get to the window the prideful manager informed me very firmly that I was only allowed to get a small lemonade in a clear plastic cup. She informed me I wasn't allowed to upgrade to a large lemonade even if I wanted to pay extra. I asked about the large white paper cups in a sleeve stacked up by the drink machine clearly visible looking in the window of the drive thru. She said the large white Arby paper cups were not allowed to be sold to drive thru customers. I said thats fine dont worry about the order you can keep it. I also informed her that I would be contacting Arby's Corporate number to inform them That Ridgeland Arby's refuses to sell a Large Cup of Lemonade to paying customers in the drive thru. I mean it's Mississippi and it gets warm in April outside and people are thirsty. Why in the world would any restaurant refuse to sell a Large Lemonade when drinks are the largest profit margin for a restaurant? If I was in charge or the franchise owner that manager would be cut back to an hourly employee for that little stunt because it would cut into the bottom line profits. Then also having to respond to a call from Corporate to investigate a customer complaint. McDonald's loves to upsize/upsell drinks no questions asked. Think I'll give Mickey D's a shot...
Read moreI love this place. It’s close to my house and work, so I go often, and I know I’ll always have a pleasant experience. It’s drive-thru only right now but honestly that makes the food quality and service better. Everyone is super nice and I’ve only ever had one mix-up in the three years I’ve eaten there. Only one! It was an easy mistake, and the food tasted good anyway, so I didn’t even mind. The receipts don’t list the names of the drive-thru attendants, but they’re always quick, polite, and have the menu and prices memorized (as far as I can tell!). The food isn’t amazing or gourmet - it is fast food, after all - but I go there for the experience more often than not. It’s one of my “comfort food” restaurants. There have been several times when the employees have brightened my day by being so warm and kind. I can also count on the food tasting the same every time, which is nice.
Anyway, I highly recommend this location! Cross-posting...
Read moreWonderful as usual! I got the double beef and cheddar, plus a greek gyro. The Beef and Cheddar might be the closest thing to consistency in all of fast food. The reason that I don't include the Whopper or the Whataburger is because the Beef and Cheddar has a high grade beef and it's awesome in its simplicity! It's melted cheddar, sliced roast beef, and Arby's signature sauce, which is almost the perfect bbq sauce with the slightest kick, on an onion bun. It's the most unique fast food staple from an establishment that's been around almost as long as MickeyD's and if they put the correct amount of cheese and sauce, it's absolute...
