We decided to give this place another try since we were in the area and I am glad we did. The atmosphere of this location isn't super welcoming like some Denny's I've been to, however Kennedy (our Waitress) is the specific reason we can't stop talking about our experience. This young lady was so amazing. When we walked in she was standing at the counter with the manager and she was a bit overwhelmed. When she got to us, she seated us. She didn't have a super friendly personality but she was very responsive. I could tell that maybe before we got there some things may have went wrong or not as planned. Anyway we ordered breakfast and because of previous meals, we didn't expect the best. BUT!!!!! The food came out HOT and it was sooooo good! So here is a shout out to the cook, he/she did a GREAT job on our food. But let me tell you what made this trip the BEST! I took a chance to order coffee, again not expecting much. But Kennedy brought out hot coffee and it was AMAZING!!! We kept saying "Dang this coffee is good!" lol. I finally stopped Kennedy and asked her did she make the coffee, she said yes she did. I told her how good it was and how great her service was and kept raving about the coffee and I noticed she had a sigh of relief and a HUGE SMILE came across her face. Her smile lit up the whole room and seem to change the entire atmosphere of Denny's! She thought we were going to complain but NO NO.... she was great! She told me she brewed a fresh pot of coffee and when I order more it was was still GREAT! Kennedy is such a sweetheart! And WHEN we go back we are specifically asking to be seated in her section. Thank you so much Kennedy for an amazing experience! We WILL be back. ALSO.... one of us went to the bathroom. When that person came back, they were so impressed by how clean the bathroom was. It was SHOCKINGLY clean!!!!!!!! Denny's keep it up, you are doing a great job on Countyline road. And you guys need to start training Kennedy to be a manager. She cares about the work she does. Read moreUpon entering the facility there wasn’t anyone to be found to seat us. Eventually Cece appeared and sharply told us ,”If y’all with them y’all can just sit by them!” suggesting we sit with the parents and children we were meeting at the conjoined table. 35 minutes went by before I asked her who was the waitress over that area which she again sharply replied someone named Gracie would be over & just go sit down! Gracie appears in before continuing to take the remainder orders of the guest that had been there a parent suggested that she could provide our table with beverages. In that moment Gracie became very loud,rude, and aggressive both in tone as well as body language. My family and I decided that we shouldn’t dine in establishments that provided such poor customer service over the smallest suggestion of requesting a drink order. While we prepared to exit the building Gracie then storms off to the back station on the restaurant near the kitchen continuing to talk aggressively to guest and children. Cece then comes over asking the parents previously seated earlier what the issue was and before I could speak she cuts me off constantly ask what can be done to fix it as though now trying not to come off rude even though she never gave a full opportunity to hear what had occurred. This is extremely disappointing seeing as how this was our 1st time in the area and wanting to meet for breakfast before continuing to the highly anticipated basketball tournament nearby. Read moreOn arrival it took 25 mins to be seated on a wk day, which is unacceptable. There were not many customers but there was only 2 waiters. I can empathize with the demand but It takes less than a min to seat your customers then return later for there orders. I eventually asked to seat myself I was tired of standing & there was open seats everywhere. Princess was AWESOME altho under alot of pressure she still mng to kindly come seat 7 impatiently waiting customers! While being fussed at by her coworkers for not moving fast enuff. She completed serving her previous customers before taking our orders which took sum extra time but she was very friendly & apologetic about the delay. Because of Princess positive attitude I gave 4stars because I knew she was trying to get the job done. The diner was fairly clean & comfortable. My suggestion to management is hire sum extra waiters/staff! ASAP!!! Door dasher were waiting rediculous amounts of time for orders that were already prepared....just no one available to distribute. Phones were ringing...and customers waiting to be both seated & to place carry out orders....UNACCEPTABLE! People were even waiting to pay there bills! This is such a loss of money for a diner with great location & amazing potential. Several people left after waiting 15-20 mins!( Money walking out the door)I wanted to leave but my husband from Memphis hadn't been to a Denny's in years & wanted to stay....
