Went to eat here for a late lunch with my sister (leaving our kids at home to get some me time for ourselves). Usually I really enjoy Omlette Cafe but today however was aweful! It was rather slow, not very busy at all and the young man cooking our food was acting like a child. As he was preparing our food he was holding a phone conversation that literally was loud enough for every patron to hear. This phone conversation lasted almost the whole duration of our outing, about an hour. At one point he even sat down at a table continuing his conversation and proceeded to beat on the table as a three year old would. He was picking on some of his coworkers about their trouble speaking English which should be grounds for immediate dismissal in my opinion. The young man changed his gloves one time after fixing our food and moving on to the next order and blew into his glove before putting it on! He took some kind of pills with his gloves on and went right back to the grill and then to further my disgust moved a piece of meat on the grill with the bottom of an oil bottle! This was so gross!!! If this young man is there DO NOT EAT HERE!!! He has blond hair and a very loud boisterous personality. At one point he did a pull up on the counter top as he asked the cashier why he had a straw (that he pulled out with his gloves on) in his back pocket. She said she didnt know. I caught the name as she...
Read moreWe go to Rincon Omelet Cafe at least weekly around the same time of day. It was not too busy; a few tables stayed open, and not very many people picking food up. Today was no exception, but we encountered a couple of things that made today's trip miserable. First, our waitress. A thin, blonde woman that seemed to place things on our table and run away. It is hard to explain and isn't something we have experienced before. I would be shocked if cameras showed her at our table for more than 30 seconds our entire time there.
The 2nd was also a new one. We are used to grill and griddle cooking in restaurants. There is scraping and a small amount of banging while preparing food. Today was not that. About every minute, there would be a loud and fast BANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANGBANG scrape scrape BANG BANGBANG. There was nowhere we could have sat where is would be quieter. As I said, our normal time there is 11 am - 2 pm and never have heard this. People from tables around us were also commenting on it. As I was leaving, I saw that the gentleman in the pinkish shirt was the culprit. When I saw him, he seemed to be making the meat for a Philly. I also noticed that he had earbuds in so he may not have realized how...
Read moreMy first time at this location, which is the one actually closest to where I live. So it was around late morning when we arrived the only seats avail was at the counter toward the back of the restaurant. No biggie, until their delivery truck arrived and the door was left open for at least 15 min without anyone going in or out. When the cold air chill got to me, I asked that it be closed to which the response was ' not gonna happen' the delivery truck is here. So when the order was finally delivered, after sitting under the light, by a different server.... The eggs were grossly undercooked, the bacon and sausage which had been cooked way earlier, was room temp at best. Grits were served about two thirds cooked, in an enormous bowl, I'm guessing because I asked for them on the side, flaunting a 'still hard' texture, yum! The pancakes which I had only planned to eat a few bites of, was the only thing actually edible. Send it back, you say? You try tracking down the server that by this time of day could have cared less! Body language said it all after please close the open back door complaint. So, okay, no prob. Here's my review. I'll stick to the other breakfast spots, fat food, at least they...
