Edit: One of the people who turned their back on her is actually an owner. Plenty of local businesses to support in the area that want the business.
My mom was excited when Dulce opened in Rio Rancho. She has always enjoyed the Santa Fe location and was looking forward to having one nearby. She told friends about it, brought family, and regularly visited their restaurant next door.
This morning she stopped in to grab a treat for herself and my grandma before her radiation appointment. There were no other customers inside, just three employees. Not one of them greeted her. They all just turned their backs and acted like she wasnât even there. One girl went to the back, came out, stared my mom down, and finally said in the most rude, condescending tone, âWhat can I get for you?â
She was so put off all of this that she didnât even bother ordering. She just said, âNothing. Have a good day,â and walked out.
She was still shocked when she told me about it this afternoon. She said it was the strangest and worst customer service experience sheâs had since moving to Rio Rancho.
You are a customer-facing business. If you canât even hide your blatant hostility toward someone just walking in the door, you are in the wrong industry. And while itâs clear the employees could not care less, the owners should. The fact that this is such a new business and there are already multiple reviews from people with similar experiences tells me youâre either not paying attention or this is something you encourage.
We wonât be back. It seems like an empty shop is what you want, so Iâm sure thatâs exactly what youâll...
Read moreWas excited to go back to this local shop because I love to support local. The cinnamon roll I had when they first opened was good. Unfortunately, I had a bad experience. I have an intolerance to egg, my family ordered their food, but then I asked for a breakfast burrito with no egg. The lady (who I think is the owner) said "No, I don't have a price point for a burrito with no egg" I then said, I'm happy to pay they price listed for the burrito. I just don't want egg. She then said " no I'm sorry I've had others request that and I can't do that" I said if I have an allergy I'm just asking for no egg. She said that I should pick something else on the menu. Then said I should order potatoes, sausage and a tortilla as sides and make it myself because she wouldn't make it because there is no binder for the burrito if there is no egg. I couldn't belive it. I canceled our whole order and went somewhere else for breakfast that is happy to leave out egg for me. I've ordered countless burritos without egg in my life, I've never had someone unwilling, and rude about it. I'm sorry to say I won't return here. Her response was ridiculous and...
Read moreThree of us stopped in to get a snack and coffee. There weren't any other patrons inside. We ordered a muffin, lemon bar, and pumpkin bread. Then each got a flavored coffee. Cashier put food on counter, then told us she'd bring our drinks to us. We were nearly done eating when another customer came in and ordered. That's when we saw our three to-go cups sitting on counter, so we got them ourselves. The drink I wanted they were "out of;" (so why not erase it on the chalkboard behind you)? . Only one of us asked for drink to go. When I got up and wiped up crumbs off of table and put our plates near trashcan, I noticed coffee rings that we didn't leave. We left, and the owner and cashier were just chatting away with each other. No acknowledgements, no "thank you's". Two left first, and I left a few seconds later. So it wasn't like they didn't have time to say goodbye. Food and coffee were all PERFECT, but there are pah-lenty of other places nearby I will take my business to because their level of customer service was pitiful. It cost us...
