Whataburger — Restaurant in Rio Rancho

Okay, so I am a Texan, born and raised. I grew up on Whataburger and it's always been great, IN TEXAS. I sent email after email to try and get a Whataburger here in Rio Rancho. 5 years I kept trying and finally we got one. So disappointed in this Whataburger. They ALWAYS seem to forget to add a chicken strip or add Mayo the burgers even though it is clearly on the receipt. The taste, well, to be honest, what taste. The most bland burger and it's so unlike the Whataburger I grew up with. I've probably given them 25 bucks worth of free money because they always seem to forget chicken or even fries, I call and I don't ask for anything free, I just want to tell them but it doesn't change. Bernard is a very RUDE manager and the others just don't seem to have pride as nothing changes at this location. I live literally across the street but the food leaves their kitchen cold because I don't have problems with cold food from any other place but this place. It kills me to write this, Whataburger is my favorite, it's a Texas pride and again, I live in NM but I will always be a proud Texan. Someone needs to do something about this location and I think better managers need to be hired. So sad that this one is so close to me, I'd rather drive to ABQ to get better quality food. It's THAT particular store because others are much better. I feel so bad writing this but man, when you call to politely tell them of the mistakes and ask nothing in return and nothing changes, it's just messed up. I hope the right people are reading this and changes are made. I fought long and hard to get a Whataburger in our area, I don't want it gone, I just want it to be as GREAT as I KNOW...

What GREAT service! I would recommend you pull thru or pull up and get a bite to eat here! Thr dining room is locked so you have to use the drive thru or order pick up. As full time RVers with No Car, this COV* has made running out for a quick bite horrific! So many places have their dining tooms closed still. Which is extremely annoying because we don't have a vehicle that fits in drive thrus. So we are very limited in pur choices. The day we pulled up here we thought the dining room was open, it isn't. We were so upset and disappointed. Then Oscar came out. He spoke as soon as he saw us walking away. He went inside and got us a menu. He happily took our order, going back inside and out several times to do it. He was wearing his mask and maintained his distance the entire time. He brought us out our food and it was hot and smelled great! I had the mushroom swiss burger meal add bacon large and my husband had the double bacon burger meal large. When we got in our RV to eat, it was DELICIOUS, hot juicy and so tasty. I will say, our fries were a little over cooked but still good and just the right amount of salt! In our bag he put spicy ketchup and regular as well as napkins, this is a big deal for me because I didn't ask and he did it anyways most places now you havr to ask, which is frustrating because sometimes I forget. LoL The service we received was above and beyond. We were so pleased and so full. Thanks guys your awesome! When we were leaving in our 33ft motorhome it was easy to get out because the parking lot is pretty big and clean. The only saving grace this place has is that the strawberry shake is always amazing but sadly the staff is extremely slow and unorganized it takes 15 to 20 minutes in the drive threw line to get anything. A friend compared the time to get the food as almost the same wate as a really busy olive garden just to get seated and as for myself I have seen that during the lunch rush stripes biscuit co. Is faster by an easy 10 minuts. It took this place with a dead parking lot and myself only in the drive threw line from 10:25 pm to 10:40 pm just for them to make a mushroom swiss burger by itself (no fries) and a strawberry. I dont know who they have running this place but they either need to started replacing the slow people or start lighting a fire under them to get them moving. Siting at the windoe for the driver threw line I constantly see 3 people just looking at the order screen or just joking around. On the same night as mentioned above it the time it took this place to make 1 order Wendy's next door was understaffed and were still clearing the drive threw with a line from the pickup window all the way back closer to the dumpster and the line was gone and replaced by the time I managed to get my order so I dont know if the people working here are just high brain dead or just insanely slow and for a fast food place they need to pick...
