Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Rio Rancho

My pizza took an hour and a half and arrived cold... I was quoted 45-55 minutes so I expected it to take a little bit, but not that long.

I used to really love this Papa John's, and I hope to change this review later, but this is my second bad experience in a row. They are also more expensive than other places.

Now that Dominos has really stepped up their game and are cheaper and faster, I may order there from now on. Update: Decided to give them another try and it was much better. Pizza arrived on time, in about 40 minutes, and was very good. It was a UFC fight night so I'm sure they were busy, too. They even brought me plates and napkins, since I'm sure they knew it was for a fight-watching get together.

Update- October 24 Ordered stuffed crust and the 2 part deal 6.99 deal. Start off with the good- Saturday night and pizza arrived within an hour and a half. The Philly cheese steak papadilla was really good flavor wise

The critique- The hot lemon pepper wings were gross. They were a little soggy and the sauce tasted like pinesol Buffalo

The papadilla- wasn't cut and was undercooked. The "dilla" part was soggy

The pizza- I guess I have a high standard for stuffed crust. Like Pizza Hut. This stuffed crust was mid, at best. Wasn't super hot or flavorful. The pizza was a little soggy. When I picked up a slice all the cheese and toppings dropped off.

Order consisted of 1 pizza and 1 appetizer. We ordered at 4 PM and didn’t get our delivery until 8 PM. What happened in between that time you ask? Well, after 1.5 hours of not receiving our delivery, we called the store and spoke to the manager who said our order should arrive in the next 10-15 minutes and that the people after us had also called to complain. Our order never came and the app stated that our food was delivered. It was never delivered to our home. This is unacceptable considering we also gave the driver a 20% tip for nothing. So we called back to the store, spoke to the manager who said, “your delivery guy is now back at the store and my best guess is that he dropped it off at the wrong house”. This “manager” couldn’t even apologize for the inconvenience or even offer to make it right. I asked the manager to at least throw in a free dessert or free pizza next time and he said he would give us the cookie dessert item. We didn’t get our order for over an hour later AND didn’t get the free item promised by the manager. The manager of this store appears to be a push over and allows his lousy staff to behave however with no repercussions. Those delivery drivers have to be high on something because how do you miss a whole delivery to a home that’s not even a mile away from the store? We love papa John’s but because of this experience, they lost...

I should read the reviews before ordering from the store. My 15 year old daughter works as a lifeguard in an outdoor swimming pool this summer. Last Friday she had a long shift until 9 pm. I decided to order pizza, appetizers, and a soda for my daughter, and the whole team of the lifeguards. It was supposed to be a surprize, so I didn't tell my daughter about it. When I picked her up, I asked how they all liked the pizza? The pizza was not delivered at all!!! My daughter was extremely hungry. I was shocked and mad!!! We used Papa Johns stores a lot and loved them when we lived in Missouri. I received a questionnaire to my email about my experience that night. I wrote everything I thought about the experience, and requested the manager to contact me via email. They asked for 48 hours for the response. We waited 48 hours, nothing has happened, and my husband called the store. They did not know about the situation, and blamed us that we did not call them the same day. We're canceling the transaction, and never ever again going to order anything from Papa...
