Las Villas Taqueria — Restaurant in Rio Rancho

Saw this place down the road, this is my third trip here now, I highly recommend anyone to visit this restaurant, their food is homemade and their service is excellent, their menus dont have an excessive amount of options to pick from, not to mention the size of their portions. Their waiters are VERY friendly, especially Ximena who had patienece with me when I was being indecisve about my order, compliments to her specifically for dealing with me and being very patient.

Ive tried both their Carne Asada Burrito, Carne Asada Torta and their Barbacoa Super Quesadilla, Im a big Carne Asada fan if you couldnt tell already 😅. Sadly they are closed on Monday's, though then again, whod want to work on a Monday? XD

These tacos were amazing! I ordered the pollo and the asada tacos and they did not disappoint. Both sets of tacos came with onions and cilantro with lime wedges on the side. They also came with two sauces - one red and one green.

The salsa was perfect. The green was like an avocado salsa and the red was this smokey creamy goodness that paired perfectly with the asada. I also ordered a side of charro beans and those were great too.

The service was fantastic. There were two women working the front and they were hustling! They both were super friendly and created a welcoming atmosphere.

The restaurant just opened so it doesn’t have a lot of decor yet, but it looks nice. And before I forget, the prices were great with good portions for a great value.

I highly recommend this place and will definitely be going back to try other stuff...

Looks like a family owned taco spot. We stopped on a Thursday night and the restaurant was busy. I had asada quesadilla and I will say the meat was super flavorful and large portions. I took half of my food home. The salsa in the squeeze bottles were great. Service was slow but the 2 women were working hard. Attending to a full dining room, working the register, and running the food, the guests were understanding. The servers were so nice and polite. We will definitely go back many times over. The place is hard to get to if you have not been there before. We have seen many restaurants come and go in this location...banana leaf.....whiptail...etc. while all those restaurants were good, we really hope this one keeps the momentum it shows right now.
