The Bagel Deli & Bakery — Restaurant in Rio Rancho

The service was horrible here if I could rate this place 0 stars I would. I walked in and didn't get a simple hello just saw the young girls roll their eyes at me. They asked me what do I want in a rude tone and I got a cinnamon raisin bagel toasted with butter. My bagel was hard as a brick and also burned. I went and asked the young girls if they can re-make my bagel all they did was do the heavy breathing and grab the burned bagel from my hand. They were to busy gossiping about people when I walked over there. The lobby didn't look well maintain or clean. When I left I didn't hear have a great day just a stare from the young girls. I think these girls forget without the customer spending they won't have a paycheck at the end of their payroll cycle. If I was the owner I would fire all these immature girls that work there and hire people that actually have great customer service. I will be telling all my friends and family not to waste their money...

I I honestly had no expectations of this Place. I stood in line for 10 minutes than someone finally asked if orders to be taken, she rudely asked why am I in that line if I didn't already place a order. I stated I've never been here. She was obviously upset. What do you want she yelled at me. I was embarrassed.....I just want to try your.........I gave my order. I sat down on the verge of leaving. A dark haired woman came out of no where's yelling at me if I paid already and I looked around like you got to be kidding me! Are you yelling at me. She claimed we pay before we have food ready. I said ok.....I paid and placed 3 bucks in the tip jar. I paid with card. I did not put a tip in the tab. She looked at me with disgust and slammed the tab down. I will never in my life go back to this place. I highly recommend no one else to as well. Im 45 years old. I give respect to people who deserve it. I deserve it as well. Never again. The food was...

My impression is that this shop has great potential, and most reviewers here seem to like it. My experience wasn't at all satisfactory two weeks ago. First, the prices are fantastic. And I've been wanting to find a shop where I could get an honest-to-goodness deli sandwich. Score two. But the downsides: A very busines-like vibe, not friendly. Perhaps because it was only 9:00a.m. and the staff wasn't yet fully awake? Biggest minus: Ordered a dozen sliced raisin bagels and when I got them home, no raisins, plain bagels, and all tops oddly shaved off at an angle rather than through the middle (see photo). I watched her take them from the right bin, but again, I guess when they were brought out somebody was still asleep and made a mistake. I'll revisit for a second try, this time for a lunchtime sandwich, in the next week or so, and maybe update my rating if the employees are...
