Wendy's — Restaurant in Rio Rancho

Update for 26 Jan 2024 - we came through the drive-thru at about 1730. They had a sign on the speaker saying "NO ICE" - still?! Guy on speaker spoke way too fast and at the window, didn't speak except to say the total when he took payment. Our food wasn't great but was fine enough. This location has gone downhill.

27 Dec 2023 - The guy on the drive-thru speaker before 1800 on 23 Dec 2023, was extremely rude and talked over my significant other as if he didn't know how to order. Then, upon asking for ice water with the first meal, the rude guy said they didn't have ice - no apology, nothing - but also, how do you run out of ice? All of the above was more than enough to cause us to leave instead of continuing to order.

Maybe retrain that employee to ensure he actually TRIES to deliver proper customer service?

Review 20 Sept 2023 for Veteran's Day: my significant other, a Veteran, stopped here to take part in their free any size breakfast combo for Veterans. He enjoyed his drink and food, and the service was better than our previous visit.

Also, a HUGE shoutout to Wendy's as a company, for doing something more for our Veterans - unlike Starbucks and Dunkin, whom did the bare minimum. Wendy's is the best of the best, and not ran by a bunch of cheapskates.

Review for our visit on 30 Sept 2023 sometime after 0900:

Our orders of large seasoned potatoes were overdone and almost cold. The sandwiches were fine except the one egg and cheese biscuit that HAD NO EGG ON IT. And the two individuals at the window gave off some weird vibes; the female had a staring problem as we drove up and that was odd, to say the least.

My visits since the last update weren't so bad but they really let us down today.

Update 18 Nov: I stopped here for breakfast and lunch today.

Unfortunately, my order of a number one at 0830, came with cold and hard potatoes, as well as a maple bacon chicken croissant that heavily lacked the maple part. It's my favorite breakfast combo, so the poor quality was not only disappointing, but completely unsatisfying - and the reason I knocked off a star from my original review.

However, my order at 1230 was perfect, as not only was my large chocolate Frosty filled to the top, but my junior bacon cheeseburger was made the way I requested (no tomato, add ketchup), and even looked pretty (see photo)!

As far as the service goes, both ladies at the window were smiling and wonderful. :)

This was THE WORST Wendy's experience EVER!! I wish I could give this a negative star. First, I had to wait to place my drive thru order for 7 minutes. There were no cars ahead of me. Then, after asking if they had them, I ordered 3 oatmeal bars and a large unsweetened ice tea. I then sat at the window for 2 minutes before anyone acknowledged I was there. The worker who finally came to the window looked like she had just rolled out of bed without waking her face or anything. Her clothes, not a uniform, looked filthy. After getting my order, I pulled into a parking space to check my order and found that there were only 2 oatmeal bars and an empty cookie bag. I went into the store, asked for the manager and found a very rude man, also not in uniform, also looking unkempt. Apparently, they only had 2 oatmeal bars and instead of telling me this, were hoping I wouldn't notice? He asked if I wanted a chocolate chip or sugar cookie instead. I told him no I wanted a refund and ignored me, grabbed a chocolate chip cookie and shoved it at me and walked away. There was no apology or anything. If all that wasn't bad enough, when I got home, I found the unsweetened tea was actually sweet tea and the oatmeal bars were so hard, they were not edible. I tried calling the store but no one answered the phone. The store was too far away to go back. I'm sure nothing will be done because of this review, but at least...

If I could go for no star I would!! I went to Wendy’s around 10:40 pm on 8/29/2018 I asked if they can please give me a second to look at the menu. The register person who attended me was very rude and kept saying are you ready are you ready to order! So I finally ordered my food after each meal I would order she would say in a (rude tone) is that all and just kept saying is that all! My goodness it’s not that hard to be polite to customers. So then I was ordering my drinks and for every drink I would order they would say we’re out of regular lemonade so I said ok that fine, then I ordered strawberry lemonade and she said they were out then I ordered frosty a and they were also out! Like how can they be out of those things at that time if they close till 12am?? So finally I said I was done odering the cashier said ugh I’ll have your total in the window. So I told my family forget it we’ll just take our business somewhere else because of how rude they were to take our order! And let me just say this is not the first time that they are rude to us! And are out of lemonades and frostys! The district manager has to do something about the employees they have...
