Selah Vie Bistro and Coffee Cottage — Restaurant in River Falls

My personal experience after several visits to Saleha Vie is Darren and his staff share a united mission. They lead with the desire and ability to provide personalized, top-notch service, and follow it up with excellent food and drinks.

They are incredibly accommodating. was in the coffee shop the other day trying to find something on the menu that would accommodate my dietary needs. The barista suggested something that was not on the menu, yet sounded great and met my needs. I went with her recommendation and I was NOT disappointed.Their drinks are delicious and refreshing - I love the raspberry lemonade.

I will say, I have learned to keep my eye on the time, so I know when it’s closing time. My experience is, if a customer wants something, needs something or is having a nice time, Darren will just let closing time come and go without breaking stride, and continue to accommodate his customers. I am so grateful for this, and yet Darren’s time is just as valuable as mine, so I must finish my lemonade and keep it moving:-)

Stopped in while traveling back home to Milwaukee. This coffee shop is part of the Wisconsin Coffee Shop Passport. It's a quaint-looking shop with an authentic vintage feel. There are a couple of tables in front, and another larger seating area out back. Inside, there are plenty of spots for different groups of people.

Got here early Saturday morning. There were a few other people there. The service was super nice and personable. Had a nice chat while we were ordering. Got a couple of lattes. I ordered my London Fog latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, and extra foam). They had some really nice looking bakery (croissants, coffee cake, and turnovers). Got a rhubarb turnover that we had warmed up. We ended up picking a quiet spot in the back.

The London Fog was good, but not great. It wasn't as warm as I normally get (could have asked for extra hot?), and a little weaker too. The turnover was heated up a bit too much and ended up a bit deflated. Tasty, but the texture was off.

I travel for work and visit a lot of coffee shops. This one was impressive ❤️ My blended dirty chai was great. I got The Italian Job sandwich which was also fantastic... A lot of places make good food and good coffee. I'm reviewing because this place had amazing staff! They were all friendly and happy to be there. The barista was clear on my order, let me know that there would be a small wait (due to other orders in the kitchen) and was open with recommendations. The cook came out to verify that I was told there would be a small wait and confirmed that I did not want onions. The buser introduced herself and said I should let her know if I needed anything.
