My husband and I were passing by and spotted this restaurant, thought we gave it a try. The atmosphere was quite nice, located inside a building with multiple other stores and an antique store that’s down the basement. I love Thai food so from Minnesota we all know how diverse people and the foods are. My husband got his sesame chickens, purple sticky rice and an wonton soup, I got the beef salad wrapped and sticky rice, some spring rolls. I asked for papaya salad, our waiter pointed to a tofu salad and said it’s papaya salad, like cmon girl, we both asian, we all know what papaya salad(som tum ส้มตำ ) is. My beef salad wrapped didn’t come out right, didn’t look like laab at all. I had to look online at the menu to really see what I got verses what I order. Turns out our waiter put in the wrong order for me. Had to wait awhile to get my plate made. They didn’t have papaya salad either 😭. In my opinion this is not an authentic Thai restaurant. Would I recommend? NO not to those who are into Thai or Laos food, I rather recommend the drive and head across boarder or stop in Hudson for some good...
Read moreWe live in River Falls and wanted to try this place, as we never have before. Service was slow. Very slow. We were one of two tables in the entire place and our server visited us a total of three times our entire visit— once to bring waters and take our order, once to drop off our food, and once to collect our money. Dirty tables sat around us as she hung out in the kitchen. I wanted to order one of their green tea drinks but never got the chance to. She was also wearing sandals and the dirtiest socks she could find…?! I hope she wasn’t also preparing food. Food was ok. Chicken satay was so dry. Peanut sauce to go with it was cold, hard, and not appetizing. The wet, mushy edamame was so obviously cooked and then refrozen. I would have ordered dessert for my kids but...
Read moreAte here Saturday evening for the first time. I don't think I have ever been in this building before, its a neat layout. Restaurant is on the main level towards the back, kind of an open concept layout.
Staff was friendly. Fairly quiet in there with about 3 to 4 tables occupied at a time. Must be 12 or more total? It's actually bigger than I expected.
The pork dumplings (gyoza) were good. So was the pad Thai and sesame chicken. What really struck me about the chicken, was how it was still crispy under the sauce. So many places, especially buffets, you get used to mushy. Not here, it was delicious. Highly recommend here if you are looking for a sit Asian/Thai meal and prefer quality...
