The food was amazing, and that really upsets me because everything else was God awful. Cram four people in a five foot wide booth, great. One of the four got everything they ordered. Only one. A different one of us wasn't just missing a side, their entire meal was missing. Coffee was lukewarm by the time we got any creamer after having to flag down the server a handful of times to get it. All the stuff that was missing and "coming right out? Yeah, it came out at the same time as the check. Oh, they must've just been real busy... They weren't. Not at all. Speaking of the check, there were four separate meals. Only one person paid for their own meals. It seemed off, so we asked for receipts to double check. The server refused. When pressed, she gave a huff and pulled the one crumpled receipt that she actually printed out of her pocket and handed it over. It was the only correct receipt. She absolutely refused to do anything about the other receipts. It's a dog gone shame because again, the food was very good. Whoever came up with the idea for the brunchos deserves a medal. But as good as the food was, I still left absolutely pissed. I've had a handful of rough experiences for a hungover brunch, but this takes the...
Read moreWhile the service was great, the food left a lot to be desired. The cinnamon roll was definitely not fresh, and the frosting was like water. The hollandaise sauce was watery as well. My family and I were big fans of the South Fork Cafe that was here previously, and our first time at the Table, they still had the South Fork menu. It was wonderful, and we had hope that the change in ownership would not mean big changes to the food. Unfortunately we were wrong. The new owner has a diverse menu, with a lot of gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options, while also offering some classics. The classics however, are not what they used to be. additional warning: there is a sign on the door that says a $1 fee will be charged if you pay by credit card. Also, the door says that they take American Express, but if you try to pay this way, they will tell you that the do...
Read moreFood was average. We had stir fry, the chicken breast was dry and rubbery. The veggies were good. Price was somewhat high, but in line with everything in our economy right now. I ordered iced tea with lemon wedge, but got water with lemon. The waitress asked how our food was only seconds after it was set in front of us, so we had barely gotten a chance to even look at it. She never returned to follow up. We sat for quite a long time waiting on her return as we were interested in a slice of pie for dessert. The pie was fantastic! Worth the wait! The rhubarb was delicious! Tart and sweet. Crust was flaky, not thick and dry. The Heath bar pie was also wonderful. Very rich, but that's what you want! Homemade, delicious. I'd say if you want a delicious...
