New Orleans Daiquiri Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Riverdale

Went to this location since received great food and vibe at the other but was sadly disappointed. I ordered 2 apps, arrived at maybe 7:40pm. At this time it was maybe 2-3 other table of guests in the establishment. Waitress came out to confirm my order again asking if I wanted the oysters. I said yes. She said "ok I was just making sure bc the cook said he has to make sure he has enough bc there were other orders of oysters already in. I said yes I want them and let me know. By this time it started to get busier and maybe 4-5 other tables had come in. I got my egg rolls with no napkins! The drink I ordered was wayyy too sweet. At about 9:20pm, other guests have left and I try to wave the waitress down as she had gone behind the counter to serve drinks. I asked Soo what's goin on with the oysters. She replies, 'Oh I thought the manager came to tell you there wasn't enough.' I informed her "nobody told me anything and I could have been ordered something else if I had known, what can you provide me for the inconvenience?" "Nothing bc it wasn't even rung up." I ask for the manager, she can't do anything for the 2hr inconvenience, lack of communication and error on their customer service but another too sweet daiquiri To go. No thanks, I won't be returning to this one. Maybe some additional training from the other location, more customer service training, better communication. I gave this place 1 star because the sandwich was good. As for Service and Professionalism they receive ZERO Stars. A co-worker suggested this place because she was not happy with the Old National Hwy location so I decided to give this location a try. We arrived at this establishment at 8:57pm and was seated immediately. The waitress arrived at 9:10 pm and took our order. My friend ordered the Catfish Po Boy and I ordered the Catfish platter with Mac n Cheese. We also ordered a Coke and a Daiquiri. 9:35 they brought out the Catfish sandwich and fries. The sandwich was hot but the fries were cold. I informed the waitress the fries were cold. She went back and came back with a fresh basket but before delivery it to us she stopped at the bar to chat with the bartender then proceeded to the entrance of the restaurant where she opened the door and stood chatting with the food in her hand. She finally brought the basket of fries which we refused to eat. I inquired about my fish platter and she stated she would check on it. She returned to inform me that they were out of Mac n cheese. It is now 9:53 and I still have not received my Catfish platter or drinks. At this time I was very frustrated so I cancelled the drinks and requested to speak with the Manager. I was excited to come here but unfortunately that excitement turned into disappointment. Summary: short staffed; was out of condiments, drink syrups, and sides; food mediocre and overpriced

It took a while for the server to come. They were short staffed she was serving and making drinks for the entire restaurant. I ordered the peach cobbler daiquiri and they were out of the mango syrup. My sister ordered a drink and they were out of a flavor then when asked about another drink they were out of something else. I was disappointed the drinks weren’t served in a glass for asthetics. I ordered the oysters that comes with one side it was $19 which I feel was not worth it for the amount of food I received. I asked for sweet potato soufflé as my side (main reason I came) and they were out of it so I settled for Cancun ranch French fries. The fried oysters were over cooked. The batter on the oysters lacked flavor. I was disappointed with the fries too. I didn’t taste much Cajun and there was barely any ranch. I asked the server for tarter sauce. She said they didn’t have any which was surprising since most of the foods they serve are seafood. This was a big deal to me because I can’t enjoy the seafood fully without tarter sauce.
