Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Riverside

Worst Dairy Queen I've ever visited. They were out of ingredients. Hot dog was overdone and rubbery, and they had maybe 3 small clumps of chili speead across the footlong, but the bun was fresh and they loaded it with shredded cheese. Mocha Moolatte tasted like straight dark chocolate syrup. BBQ sandwich was soggy. Cotton candy Blizzard was only partially blended so the bottom half was just vanilla soft serve and only the top half had the cotton candy flavoring. Chocolate Heath Blizzard was almost as chocolatey as the Mocha Moolatte, and it had minimal Heath candy bar pieces in it. That was everything we ordered. Each item had something about it that was overdone or not enough ingredients - and, for the record, when I want extra ingredients, I specifically ask and happily pay for extra, so I'm not just saying their servings were smaller than I like. The store is very small, and they were busy, so it was so crowded the line literally went outside onto the sidewalk. I haven't been to a DQ in the past 6 months, but it seemed to me this store's menu was missing a bunch of of classic DQ best sellers. I realize DQ has some unorthodox franchising methods in some areas, but it doesn't make sense for even a single independently owned store to leave some of the most popular, iconic menu items off their menu. No chicken strips, fries, Texas toast, and gravy? Only about 8 flavor options for milkshakes? No hamburgers or...

I grew up coming to This DQ. Came in on March 9th with family to eat for the 1st time in 2022. Very disappointed in the food choices. Rotisserie chicken bites really isn't a kids choice. No fries.. No kids meal to speak of. We sat inside to eat our hotdogs. Plain and chili cheese. There was enough cheese on the hotdog for multiple hotdogs but, a drop of chili. We sat and watch customers come and go being disappointed in orders..One customer came in asking for his sons birthday cake. And it was no cake to be found. The kids behind the counter blamed it on new employees. When the customer knew actually who he ordered it from. Carmel Machine was broken. Customer service was not professional at all. I love Dairy Queen and I also love their blizzards. I usually get the cotton candy in the summer. This one was terrible. It had like a pink waxy film in it that tasted like wax. I have never tasted them and any other cotton candy blizzard. Also the one I was out on airway Road in Dayton Ohio, the gentleman there got tired of wiping off the tables and said something to my five-year-old grandson who has autism I was so you got to sit at both tables huh? Which I thought was very rude when we left he clean the tables off and put the chairs up on the tables so nobody could sit in and they don’t close till 9 o’clock.
