Johnny's Burgers — Restaurant in Riverside

I still like the food here but improvements in order accuracy and customer service are needed. The last few months I have been shorted four different times. As a customer, I have failed to provide feedback via telephone except once (today) other than the brief survey I complete in e-mail (Square) whenever I make a purchase with my debit card.

I the last few months I have been shorted on four separate orders. The items were: 1) French Fries X2 2) Ranch Dressing (ordered fried zucchini) and 3) Chicken Strips.

I finally called after being frustrated with my shortages to report the missing chicken strips (my son's meal). The lady that I spoke with on the telephone instructed me to bring back my entire order to the store to be sorted out. I explained that I did not want to eat cold food and she would not provide the missing chicken strips without it. I'm not a fan of eating cold food 30 minutes after the fact, especially cold fries, so I declined to come back.

I recommend to anyone that plans to come here, check your entire order before leaving the drive-thru. The food is good here and the the staff is mostly friendly but check your order. Once you leave the premises you won't receive what...

I love the variety of: burgers, sandwiches, food etc. I had the Johnny Santa Ana burger, it had: Pastrami, coleslaw some kind of sauce that was great and a burger patty. It was amazing. The place looked to be kept in clean condition. I also enjoyed the patio seating which is covered in overhanging shrubs that gave it an extra touch of comfort. I placed my order with a young lady that didn't give much a friendly vibe, she took my order gave me my order number and walked off. As I was sitting in the patio section I noticed a good amount of time passed and I hadn't heard about my food so I decided to inquire. I walked up to the counter and found my burger sitting there(for I don't know how long) there was only one other customer in the dining room and the girl that took my order was sweeping the dining room. So I found it pretty odd and very unprofessional that I wasn't notified of my food being ready. So my food was colder than I preferred or expected it still had good flavor which is the only thing keeping this at a 3 star rating. I think I will go back again and give them another chance and hopefully the experience will be a better one to write about...

I have been coming here for 3 yrs but this review is for today’s experience only. I have had a number of other complaints over the years but for the most part the food has been ok. Today I ordered a side of chili, onion rings, and a large coke. The onion rings weren’t cooked long enough to be crispy but were eatable. The chili would have been very good if it hadn’t had such a massive amount of salt in it that I was actually stunned when I tasted it. I tried a couple more small bites but really couldn’t appreciate the flavor as the salt overwhelmed the taste. (And I use salt myself when I cook but this was a whole new experience)! The coke machine obviously needed changing as it was tasteless and looked like brown water. I get their cokes all the time and this has never happened before. The quality of their food preparation has declined in the last 6 months or more but never to the point that I didn’t want to stop going there.
