I have been here numerous times ( approximately 40 ).I live nearby and I love morning coffee if I wake up late, or sometimes a quick cheeseburger at lunch drive through. EXCEPT they messed up my order more then Half of the times even if they get it right on receipt ( becomes problematic if you are getting an order for your office ). Around 10 of those visits out of 40 they asked me to drive to the second window to make the line go faster and promised that they will bring out the food... BUT they forgot about me each of those times... it's funny in a way, but not as much when it might cause you to be late for work. [Pro tip: refuse to go to the second window even if they promise you they wont forget you, it also has happened to my friends besides me] Around 5 visits out of those 40 since it opened they were out of items like sauce or ice cream machine was broken or one time even out of chicken patty. Today was the last time I went to that McDonalds Their service is so awful, I wanted to write to them multiple times, I just didn't want to waste my time. I got a new phone this week and it asked me do you want to rate this mcds in Google maps?! OMG YES hahahaha... Great idea!!! This morning I woke up a little late and went to get a coffee for me and my wife. At first, Starbucks was in my mind. Its little pricey but i didnt have the time to stand in the line which curved around the corner. So I decided to go to the cheaper but still good coffee at mcds... It was raining here in Riverside. Tuesday morning of May first 2018. As I drove up I wish I wasn't blocked in to make a uturn and get out. The guy on intercom said he's ready to take my order.so there I was ordering Very clearly, one item at the time he interrupted me towards the end and apologized and asked me to repeat everything. I do not have a heavy accent and I have a loud voice. No problem. I repeated it again. From long pause it sounded like he was not even near the machine to take order. After silence again he apologized and said ok ok one more time. 3rd time I said clearly 1 item at the time. He was just not ready... 4rth or 5fth time we finally got it ordered. ( 5 items I ordered 2 drinks 2 sausage burritos and chocolatecookie ) meanwhile getting honked at and many cars that ordered faster in other other line got in front of me. No problem I still had time I told myself. I get to the window, pay and wait for my food. They gave me wrong drinks... Coffee I asked for was iced large caramel macchiato and hot large turtle macchiato (new thing on Starbucks my wife wanted) instead they gave me two caramel macchiatos... I politely corrected them, waited another 5 min and then they brought iced turtle macchiato... instead of hot. It took them so long that while I was waiting, another lost McDonalds employee there came up and tried to give me the next card order... So. We had no time to get the refund or wait for them to remake it so we said thank you and accepted it. Worker asked me to take the 3rd drink too even though i didnt want it... and ran off to get a drink holder. I dress business attire and drive a new car. She probably had good intentions. But taking that 3rd drink would become my liability rather then bonus. No more time to waste, i thanked them with a a genuine smile, knowing that it was goodbye and good riddance. I hope they will learn and don't mess up anyone else's order in future. It's too much of a risk for me to find out if they are ready for proper...
Read moreWhen I was a kid growing up, McDonald's was my all time favorite place to attend when I wanted some great tasting food. Their milkshakes used to be phenomenal in my opinion. Today McDonald's can not get my approval due to the fact that they lost their way many years ago. Simply put, the food is just not what it used to be. This current review is reflective to any McDonald's including all McDonald's franchises, and that also applies to any city where a so called McDonalds restaurant resides. Here are some examples for why I am giving this negative review. Let's be clear that this is only my personal opinion and has no bearing on the experience or opinion of others.
In 1996 me and my wife were employed at McDonald's for well over two years. I worked as maintenance/backup cook/storeroom stocker and inventory clerk. Back then McDonald's would place their newly cooked meat (patties, etc.) in vats or trays with old oil still residing in the tray. Don't be fooled, they are still using the same old tray method for the patties they place on your buns (ugh!) This is now 2023 going into 2024. All the other fast food joints have upgraded the service and preparation methods to new A.I technology and similar systems, but not McDonalds. Another pet peeve is that they have replaced their great tasting food products with dull tasting generics very low quality grades, and now add extravagant amounts of sugar based products and preservatives to make up for the taste while claiming to have made positive health advancements to their menu. A Big Mac now days is not very big compared to similar food chains. In several cities across the U.S. a Big Mac meal costs $16.99 not including tax. Their food menu is outrageous when talking about out of pocket expenses. Here in the inland empire just about every supposed Value Meal is well over $10 and if you think you wanna "Super Size it" plan on adding an additional 3 to 5 dollars for a larger item but their not very large at all. No more areas for the kids to play. Play Place is a thing of the past for a family orientated restaurant which got it's prestige and well known fame from catering to all the children of the neighborhood. Have you spoken to The Hamburgular lately? How about old Ronald McDonald who would entertain our children. Forget about it. Now they just feed our kids unhealthy food with no nutritional benefit while they continue making billions. I suppose they forgot about the ones who truly helped them get there. And if you want a milkshake which used to be Worldwide signature item, with real ice cream and real fruit, well it's been replaced with flavored syrup added to vanilla ice cream. But truth be told, you probably won't be able to get your hands on one, because 60% of the time the shake machine is always out of service for cleaning. Sometimes I wait til the very next morning just to be told the same sad story. If they would upgrade their shake machine to a modernized edition they wouldn't have to clean it, it would clean itself. For a billionaire company, they sure don't focus on the consumers any more. So if you want something a bit better, but not by much, try taking your kids to Fuddruckers, Sonic Burger or Chuck E Cheeses, at least the children can play and have a great time. Sorry so long but sometimes the blatant truth needs to be revealed. Thanks...
Read moreI come here to eat almost every day this time I couldn't make it till after 9:00 p.m. I made a order online for pickup after I place my order it tells me to go through the drive-thru I wait in line(and boy was it a long line) on my motor scooter just like everybody else once I finally get to the front of the line they refused to service me because I was on a motor scooter although the money was already taken off the card he said I won't receive the money into the next business day this was my dinner money I don't understand what a scooter has to do with me they won't say nothing to a motorbike so why refuse service to me because I'm on a motor scooter a motorcycle gets to go through. I guess I'm hungry tonight because I don't get my dinner money back until tomorrow Thanks to McDonald's your policy is just fantastic. Motor scooters through drive-thrus are not allowed at McDonald's strict policy even though there's nothing posted about it you just have to find out the hard way. I seen Baker's do it I've seen Burger King do it I've seen del Taco do it ive seen Taco Bell do it. policy makes no sense. Riverside scooter city especially over here by the college. I'm very disappointed that I was refused my meal because of my scooter especially since I come every day no longer. I'll go to a less bias fast food restaurant. On top of that the lady who worked the drive-thru would not even get a manager for me to figure this out she just ignored me when I asked for a manager like I wasn't even talking. She was rude and very unprofessional. I don't know her name I just know she was a skinny African American kid work in the Drive-Thru at night on July 21st. She nee6ds she needs help with her customer service skills and she needs to learn how to deal with the upset and distraught customer. Especially because I'm in the restaurant every day give a big shout out to Elizabeth she's amazing she keeps the whole restaurant clean by herself. She knows how to talk to customers. She's not rude she's very polite very friendly listens to you. Knows how to resolve issues where neither one of the...
