Ono Hawaiian BBQ — Restaurant in Riverside

This is the place that made me fall in love with Hawaiian bbq. The last time I visited, 6 days ago(new years day), I had the best service. I placed a phone order and when I got there, they were super busy. I was hesitant to add another plate to my order as it would delay my trip by another 20 mins but they hit a home run when they produced a plate for me on the spot. I was more than happy and left a tip. I don't know if they were just making more in anticipation to the flood of people coming in or they borrowed it off another order, I would like to think it was the first. Either way, I left...

Very unprofessional establishment. I have a special diet where I only eat meat or animal products. I tried ordering a side of chicken.....they said no, I would have to order a plate. I ordered the combo number 2 and asked no rice, macaroni or cabbage and can I have a little bit more meat.....they charged me $3 more for the extra meat! I spoke to the manager and tried to explain I'm SUBSTITUTING not ordering extra.....didn't care. Any restaurant....whether fast food or not....should have customer service amd a menu able to change to me dietary needs of customers. Horrible customer...

No doubt the food is good. I always come to this restaurant, and my eating experience is always great, except today when I noticed that the cashier area and part of the dining room was a little trashy. I reported that to the girl associate and she just listened to me. I finished eating and the paper receipts and straw cover were still lying down on the floor. I ain’t complaining about it, Im just leaving this review so they can be alert with the state sanitation department issues, I will keep coming back. This is my place for good...
