Read moreFirst time and last time visiting this place. Definitely not what i expected especially after reading the good reviews this place has, i was very disappointed. Reviews are maybe fake or they are family, friend, friends of friends reviews. The food has no taste. I had a torta with asada, the meat was plain, no taste whatsoever. When i unwrapped my torta, the bread gave way and all the meat fell out. The bread was completely soaked almost soggy with broth and grease. Never have i had a torta served the way i got it at this place, i had to use a fork to eat a traditional handfood. My son had a asada burrito, same issues, tortilla was soggy and it fell apart when he picked it up to take his first bite. Grease galore on his burrito. My girlfriend had asada tacos, same issues again, grease, grease and more grease. This place has a B rating that is not posted and displayed the way it should be according to environmental health department regulation. If i would have seen the grade this restaurant had, i would have left immediately. I looked them up after i left, this is how i found out their grading. The atmosphere at this place is dead, almost depressing. No music, no televisions going, nothing about this place os festive or fun. There were flies everywhere and the person bbq the meat out front is in between bbqn, taking the trash out and hauling stuff in and out of the building while wearing the same gloves. You been warned, i would stay away if you want a good dining experience and good food...
Read moreThis taco place is a hole in the wall, so you might miss it as you’re driving down Magnolia. DO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE. You HAVE to eat the tacos here. Service is very friendly. The food is amazing! I always get chips and salsa, asada tacos, carnitas tacos, and a quesadilla. The food is truly delicious and authentic. It’s the closest thing I’ve had to eating tacos in actual Mexico. The salsas are absolutely to die for. They have a salsa bar where you can get all your salsas and fixings: you want pickled habanero peppers with red onions? They have them. My sister had the birria tacos, and she said they’re THE BEST she’s ever eaten. You also have to try one of their aguas frescas. I had the lemon and strawberry agua fresca and it was just perfect. The prices are also fair. Don’t miss out. Eat at Tomateros. It’s a local family owned restaurant. The food is authentic and delicious. Eat here....
