This place is fire! 🔥 Food on point. Tried 4 of the 5 meats between myself, wife, and twins. Didn't have the pulled pork.
Out the gate, North shore chk'n was bussin' 😏 w/ portions on point!
Yes, some of the tables were sticky due to high traffic. A designated floor walker would be a huge win for how busy this location is. Plenty to do during peak hours with tables, drinks, and trash. That said, some of these reviewers are pathological in their retelling of their experiences. I have no tie to any restaurant or food place. Yet I know crazy when I read it and some of these novice reviewers need a chill pill 💊 for sure. Why the vendetta? Food reviews are constructive in nature and should never be destructive. Tell an experience vs. complaint burping. 🗣️🫧
This establishment has better tasting food and larger portions than 'other' Hawaiian plates except for Lo Lo Hawaiian. That place is on par for portions. "You've met your match." 🤺
Let's not forget that you can pay for Larger Portions here as well. Not one portion complainer that I read with reviews mentioned they paid for the larger portion meal and didn't get what's promised. You other reviewers have been put on blast! You know who you are. 📋
I was fortunate to be there during the 6pm rush when I went on a Friday and no food ran out. Busy? Absolutely. Food shortage? Not on my watch.🦸♂️If it's a regular thing then that is critical feedback to build on.
TLDR • Mac salad = peppery delight! • Katsu chicken needs a dipping partner (teriyaki?) Plenty crunchy. • Chili Spice Grilled chicken on point. Not too much heat. • North Shore Chicken w/ the sauce = perfection! • Paid for the larger portion and they came through.
Thought I'd get the meat sweats, but walked away full and grateful for a different Hawaiian food experience. Will be going back for that...
Read moreWe came on a Saturday and the line was super long but there weren't really that many people in the restaurant seated and eating. The line took probably 45 minutes to go through only about 10-15 people. The process was very slow and the employees did not seem to know what they were doing or how to handle the number of people. They did not appear to be short-staffed but did not feel any kind of need to move quicker. By the time they were ready to take our order they were out of white rice and scooping out the last of the mac salad. We decided on the brown rice which was not great I would have preferred white rice. My husband ordered the Northshore chicken but they forgot to put the sauce on it and the line was so long we just ate it as is. The chicken and rice are pretty dry without using the terriyaki sauce which I had to wait in line again to ask for. They were out of napkins and silverware and the tables were dirty. We asked for silverware and napkins but they never did refill the napkins. My daughter and I got really sick about 1 day after eating there with what I assume was food poisoning from eating the macaroni salad because my husband did not eat the macaroni salad and he was fine. The chicken was tasty and cooked well but we just needed more sauce to go with it. Just overall very disappointed...
Read moreI recently dined at Kokonut Grill in Riverton, attracted by the promise of authentic Hawaiian cuisine. While the ambiance of the area is undoubtedly appealing, I couldn’t help but feel disconnected from the pricing structure of the menu. Living in Utah, where the minimum wage hovers around $7.25, affordability is crucial for many of us who work hard for our earnings. As someone who lives with my parents and is not on the receiving end of financial handouts, I navigate my expenses carefully, seeking value in every purchase.
Unfortunately, Kokonut Grill seems to overlook the financial reality for many of its potential customers. The prices, though perhaps justified by the quality and ambiance, are not aligned with what’s feasible for everyone, particularly for those of us earning around minimum wage. It’s disheartening to see that, despite being situated in such a nice area, there isn’t more consideration for making at least a portion of the menu more accessible.
I hope to see Kokonut Grill introduce options that cater to a broader range of financial circumstances without compromising on their culinary standards. It’s essential for businesses, especially those in well-to-do areas, to remember the diverse economic backgrounds of...
