Mountain View Village — Local services in Riverton

This place is a car centric wasteland. It's not a shopping center, It's a mall without a roof. Consequently it has all the ideas of a mall, but not any of the perks of a shopping center. I really hate this place from a design standpoint and it deserves it's 1*. My frustration grew to a breaking point to write this review when I was walking down the street past this location and was apprehend by mall security for walking on the sidewalk past this place. I was told the mall closes at 8pm. So apparently you're not even allowed to walk on the public sidewalk past this place after 8pm. So if you drive past though it your fine, but if you walk past it, you're in trouble. Given several walking paths connect to this location and you're not even allowed to walk between them. This is truly a car centered wasteland. Riverton City should be ashamed and never work with this developer ever again. If I were Riverton City I would ban this company from the city, and refuse all business with them indefinitely. This is not a public place it's a rich corporate business disguised as one. My first experience at this store was phenomenal!!! I chose to drive to this one after being treated horribly at the Jordan Landing location. Sommer, Kayla and Noa were the three working. They were so friendly from the moment we walked in the door. I was on crutches because of a recent surgery and was definitely there to make a purchase. Kayla kept taking the full baskets up to the front for me making it easier for me to get around. Sommer helped us get some of the awesome after Christmas deals you had. Check out took so long (only because of how much stuff we had and how slow the machines are) and Sommer ended up bringing me out a chair to sit in because I was hurting being on my crutches for that long. Noa helped take all the purchases to the car. We have been back to this location twice since then and this is the one i will continue to go to because of the kindness of the employees. Cool shopping mall and location; however, when I entered one of the stores today the employees were unexpectedly confrontational and curious about why I was there, more than the usual compared to visiting other locations of the same chain. Furthermore, they seem to have profiled me (based on my skin color) because a security guard from Mountain View Village (the shopping mall) quickly entered the store and followed me around throughout my entire visit. I must note, the store was pretty empty, so it was pretty obvious what their intention and concern was. This was extremely uncomfortable. When I finished shopping and began checking out, the security guard left. I only recommend visiting this shopping mall if you want your appearance to be profiled, assumptions to be made about you from the employees here, and extra security from the shopping mall to be requested to follow you around...
