Our group had never done an escape room before our visit, but it was someone’s birthday so we figured we would give it a go. Booking on their website + filling out the waiver online was super easy. We were greeted by Alex who was full of energy and helped curve our “newbie” nerves (as none of us knew what to expect). We played The Gift and managed to escape - it was tons of fun and we loved the puzzles. When something didn’t work Alex paused our time and quickly brought it to us, too. At the end Alex spent time with us asking how it was and was incredibly energetic, bubbly, and engaged in our conversation. We ended up booking for another time on a gift card as we enjoyed your experience! That same week we came back a few days later to do Fair Game at Alex’s suggestion. We had a few issues with the website/gift card and Alex helped us with that over the phone. We were thrilled to see her again when we arrived and she still was high energy and very passionate about our experience. After escaping Fair Game (which we LOVED) we knew we wanted to do another game and she suggested Prison Break. Although it’s rated a 7/10 we found the puzzles more challenging than the other two we had previously done. We were all pretty frustrated towards the end (as someone of our group just had to pick “chaos mode” lol) and Alex very kindly gave us clues when we were out of them so we could escape. Afterwards she stayed later, after they closed, just to chat with us as we were super curious about the room and how the entire system worked. You can tell Alex is incredibly passionate about her job and enjoys it! We came back originally because the room/puzzles were great, but also Alex (being the only staff member we have interacted with) was super friendly and made the experience a true 10/10. Alex is a GEM on the Red Door team and they are super lucky to have her! We will be back to complete the rest of the rooms soon, and highly recommend Red Door Escape Room! Thanks, Alex, for making our visits...
Read moreThis corrupt company ruined most of our afternoon on my daughter's birthday. We had a reservation for 1:10 PM on a Thursday. We had made the reservation almost 24 hours earlier, online. When we showed up 1:00PM the host explained she had just tried calling us about missing our reservation at 12:10PM. We pulled out our reservation which clearly said 1:10PM on it. Her response was, "Oh, we had it at 12:10. Well, we can move you to 4:50." The way she explained it, we were supposed to believe that the office had a schedule that just wasn't synced up properly with their online system. And no one in their office was aware of it until that very moment. I think the more logical explanation was simply that they got a chance to book our reserved room to host the large birthday party that was filing in when we arrived. And decided to just tell us some ridiculous lie about the reservation being an hour earlier, in their books. Keep in mind this was a paid reservation. Its not like we just set this appointment up on a handshake. But they were more than comfortable kicking us out on our tails when they got a chance to make more money. That's the joy of running a business I guess. You can serve whoever you want and you can weasel your way out of reservations from whoever you want. But I personally have no respect for anyone willing to operate this way, much worse lying to our faces about it. AND THEN, they wanted to act like jerks because we wanted a refund instead of coming back 4 hours later. They almost got to deal with an ANGRY CUSTOMER. But fortunately she changed her attitude and processed the refund before pushing the wrong button. That was a wise move. I hope it I look it up 6 months from now and find that this dishonest business has...
Read moreI recently visited Red Door Riverton, a place I had been to before, and sadly, this experience was far from satisfactory. Before starting, I informed them that I was an owner of escape rooms, although none were located in Utah.
The initial staff we encountered were friendly and understanding as some of our group members were running late, which I appreciated. However, the downhill journey began when they informed us that the clue delivery system was broken, and they replaced it with walkie-talkies.
To our dismay, the walkie-talkies emitted constant feedback, ruining the immersive atmosphere. We had to rely on the game master, came in multiple times to provide clues and even attempted to fix the walkie-talkies herself, all while we were trying to enjoy the game she ended up coming into the room for the rest of the game and talking with other staff on those loud walkie talkies all while we are playing and trying to be immersed.
Despite having the game master in the room with us, she seemed unprepared and unaware of our progress, leading to unnecessary frustration. Adding to the disappointment, they abruptly pulled us out of the room before we could finish the last puzzle we were seconds away.
After finally escaping, the resolution offered by Red Door Riverton was a mere 20% off for our next visit, which hardly compensated for the numerous issues we encountered. I asked if they could just refund us the 20% instead and Lia said no she couldn’t do a refund.
Overall, this experience was a complete mess, and I cannot recommend Red Door Riverton to anyone seeking a quality escape room adventure. It's disheartening to see such a lack of professionalism and care for the...
