1-Star Review BLUF: Long drive-thru wait, food thrown upside down in the bag, dirty fryer oil, manager ignored me, and employees bragging about being “too high” (their words, not mine).
This was one of the worst fast food experiences I’ve ever had.
Traveling south on I-95, I stopped here for a quick meal and restroom break. My wife went inside and noted it was packed, so we opted for the drive-thru.
After ordering and paying, we waited over 15 minutes at the pickup window. We were first handed the wrong drinks — easily corrected — but while waiting, I overheard an employee loudly telling co-workers they had “smoked too much weed.”
When we finally got our food, it was tossed upside down in the bag. My wife checked the order before we left — they had forgotten condiments, straws, and napkins. Worse, one order of fries was dark brown, and the other, though golden, tasted bitter — both likely fried in dirty oil.
Not wanting to hold up the drive-thru, I parked and went inside. The lobby was packed with 20-30 people waiting for their orders. I stood at the counter with my fries in hand for about 20 minutes without being acknowledged.
When I finally got an employee's attention, I asked for fresh fries, condiments, and napkins — and asked to speak with the manager. I was told she was “at the prep table” but could not come over. After waiting again, the same employee told me, sarcastically, “If you want to talk to her, put on a shirt and come back here.” Ironically, that same employee wasn’t in uniform until moments before saying that.
Eventually, someone swapped my fries for cleaner-looking ones — but they still tasted like dirty fryer oil. Meanwhile, I witnessed other customers complaining about 20-30 minute waits for their food.
This location was dirty, chaotic, poorly managed, and unprofessional from top to bottom. Absolutely...
Read moreWe visited around 6pm on Easter Sunday for dinner on our drive home from vacation. We were one of few customers and ordered our food at the kiosk and a polite young man brought our food to us in a timely manner. It was hard to find a clean table, as most had some kind of mess on them. As we ate the place filled up and became more busy.
I took my son to the women’s restroom and found a floor strewn with French fries, a spilled drink, no toilet paper in any of the stalls, one stall didn’t lock (all stalls had secondary locks installed as the primary were broken), and there was no soap in one dispenser.
The staff were informed there was no toilet paper, and we sat back down to finish our meal. Before we left my daughter and I visited the restroom and found a very long line of women waiting to the use restroom. Apparently only one stall had been restocked with toilet paper, and that was a small, half-used, household roll sitting on top of the toilet paper dispenser in one stall.
I went and informed the staff, for a second time, that there was no toilet paper in the women’s bathroom. I was told to hang on one minute. 10+ minutes later and the bathroom had still not been resupplied. I had my husband grab a roll of toilet paper from the men’s restroom and I ‘refilled’ one dispenser (this was also not a full roll, but at least a commercial roll, so larger capacity).
There were plenty of staff on hand, but very few seemed to care about the job they were doing. While dining we heard several other customers complain about wrong orders and there was a general mood of discontent among everyone.
I gave two stars for service solely based on the young man who brought us our food. He was pleasant, polite,...
Read moreThe addition of the "Order Kiosks" has made this extremely busy location somewhat more efficient in the way your order is selected\customized, but it has also birthed a new level of "clustered disorganization" as patrons are huddled around said kiosks ordering cutting into the payment\service ques. Also you'd think that by having your order placed into a kiosk the persons preparing the food would be able to accurately make said food, this to my disbelief is a misconception as not one not two but all four of the sandwiches I ordered were completely wrong with toppings still on the sandwiches that were taken off and condiments added we're not ever put on to the sandwiches. the actual reason for the four stars is that the managerial staff at this McDonald's location is a gem in the rough always a smile always a helping and if needed and I was compensated free sandwich due to the extremely long wait that I had and in the way that I had to get the proper order as the aforementioned sandwiches were completely wrong. The owners of this McDonald's location should definitely make sure that their managerial staff is well cared for because if they were to lose any of them this location with drop down to one star in a heartbeat. Monica her name was is the manager I speak of, her attitude and professionalism shows that there are people in this world that do not reflect the atmosphere they work in they only reflect inter professionalism in termination to do a good job at all costs. I want to thank Monica very much for making a disastrous visit to this McDonald's an actual pleasurable one by the end...
