A mom and pop restaurant that is easily missed in downtown Roanoke. I am glad I stopped by to eat. What I had was a the Aesy specialty - Bologna sandwich with egg and cheese. That sandwich came in a burger bun and it is huge! And it costs less than $3.50. This is a great place. My only suggestion is to go in either on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday as they are really busy on Fridays.

Immediately greeted by two very kind people from behind the counter. I'm assuming they are the owners. Nice clean diner style place. Simple comfort food menu. Delicious breakfast -- we ordered eggs, bacon and toast to go. I'll definitely return to try a lunch item, probably a cheeseburger FYI the veggie boxes on the seats are to keep your tootsie from getting cold LOL!.

This place is AWESOME! Met the owners that run an amazing old school diner. Staff is very friendly and clean. Must haves are the burgers and the Jumbo drinks with free refills! Food is so classic yet delicious. Love this place will be back!

I have always liked the food in the restaurant and the two cooks have always been friendly to me, so was the server, but the older lady that works there at the cash register, has always been rude to me, for some reason, and she really demonstrated that today, that although I have always bought food from them, even to the point of bringing other people to experience the two cooks great attitude and great food service, she has made it her business, especially today, to demonstrate her dislike for me, mind you have never went into this restaurant rude or anything else, she always says that I order from the door, when I always come right to the register to order, sometimes when she is talking to other people, the other cooks asked me what do I want, so they can get a Headstart on it, but today she literally yelled at a grown man, and claim that I always order from the entrance of the door, when the server and both of the cooks look to her like wait a minute , we took his order, because you were talking to three other people, he always comes in here, he always greets us never have disrespected anybody, but I don’t think I can go back to the restaurant, because it is one person, I remember the first time or the second time that I came to the restaurant, she demonstrated to me, that do I know anything about people passing fake $20 bills, which kind of sent a signal in my head, why was she asking me this . Ever since then, every time that I will come in the restaurant, she will have some type of attitude towards me like she was unhinged, I don’t give me wrong, I know she’s the only lady, and I thought maybe she was kind of tired, but I started to notice that she didn’t demonstrated a monks other customers in there, just told me for some reason, but today was definitely the last day that I will be entering this restaurant, because Of this one person, the...

Love the crinkle cut fries! Always hot fresh oil to make the fries crisp and tastie! Eddie Joe has been doing it right for many years. My favorite is the pepper steak on a toasted sub type bun with lettuce, tomato, mayo & onion. Eat-in makes it better because the fries are hot and crispy; too much time in a bag travelling just takes away from the goodness. Most people just love the burgers, and I will eat one for variety along with the fish sandwich sometimes.

Also, love the daily specials that they have. My favorite is the...

I adore this place!! The food and the people here are fantastic; you can tell the (always) sweet and welcoming married couple that owns/runs this place put a lot of heart and hard work into making Aesy's so great. I can only speak for their breakfast biscuits and coffee so far, but I can tell you the biscuits are homemade and absolutely delicious, the eggs and bacon are cooked on the stovetop right in front of you, and the coffee is great!! Definitely one of my all-time favorite...
