Please 🙏🏾 Stay Away from this hotel. Especially women who are traveling by themselves.

My boyfriend and I visited Ronoake for a friend’s wedding, we stayed at the liberty trust Hotel. We thought the hotel was a cute place and the staff were welcoming, but we were terribly wrong. Around early morning Sunday, while my boyfriend and I were sleeping a man had entered our room naked. The man entered the room very quietly, thankfully the door made a creaking sound. I noticed the man and woke my boyfriend up, the man was already in our room. My boyfriend confronted the man to leave our room. The naked man was confused when he saw my boyfriend. I believe the man was under the impression that I was in the room by myself. During the confrontation, the intruder had the nerve to tell my boyfriend to calm down so he doesn’t wake up others. First I thought the man suffered from Alzheimer, Dementia, or was intoxicated but he wasn’t none of the three. I have worked with patients that’s suffer from illnesses (dementia or Alzheimer) and I know the characteristics to look for but the man was not showing any signs of it. Especially, sneaking into someone room almost 3 in the morning. Immediately after the incident I called the front desk to report it. The night staff told me she will look into and follow up with me, that wasn’t the case. I went wrong not calling the police right away, because I never received a follow up. I packed my stuff and left immediately once it was a decent time in the morning. Which makes it worse the incident happened a day before my birthday, this is not something you want to think about especially entering a new age. After leaving the hotel, I waited to see if someone will ever call me but no one did. I had to call a day later to find out notes were taken from the night staff about doing walk through of the hallways and stairwell. Unfortunately, the notes were never communicated to the day staff. The lady I spoke told me she didn’t have access to the cameras, but she will notify management. The next day (Wednesday) I received a call from the manager, she told me she’s reviewing the cameras and asked for a time stamp when the incident occurred. I never received a call back until Saturday evening from the regional director. I explained the situation of what happened, she told she was on vacation and was informed of the situation when she got back. She told she didn’t see anything on camera, and that was it. She later told me she will send me an email. I was infuriated with the email I received it was completely different from our conversation we had on Saturday, she told me she had further information from the manager which was a complete lie and basically try to make it seem that I made up a story. I was outraged that she was a woman who really didn’t even attempt to help me or try to investigate further. I’m not looking for money, I just need answers and the let the truth come out. I decided to go the legal way. This must stop 🛑, if I have to use my money and resources to get justices I will. I’m not a mother but as an aunt, a daughter, and a woman I need to stand up and fight. I won’t stop until, I can’t anymore. I’m doing this for the next woman...

This hotel is beautiful and very nice to stay in. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Every request that they could accommodate, they did with no issues. My qualm, however, is with the amenities. There are no cribs or beds available for infants/ young toddlers. I was expecting them to have some available and ended up needing to go purchase one of my own because they didn’t not have them. I feel like that should be a standard amenity offered for ease on parents. Also, I booked through a third party and was not told about being charged for parking. So to my surprise, after already paying an arm and a leg to stay at this hotel, I have to pay $8/night for parking, which isn’t charged until checkout. Not to mention, the elevators in the parking garage that I am paying to use are broken! So I have to put myself and my child in danger to walk the stroller down the ramp where cars are speeding by just so I can get up and down, to then walk around the corner to the hotel where I have to HOIST the stroller up the big step in front of the hotel. Also, the windows are extremely thin?? I could hear every loud person outside, every truck thumping by and the trains going by loud and clear. Nothing the staff could’ve done about that, so nothing against them. The housekeepers were incredible. The first morning we woke up and left, when we returned, our room was spotless and they had made up my daughters new pack-n-play, nice and thick with blankets and sheets. They were not required to do that and yet they so kindly did and it made my entire day. So shout out to housekeeping for being amazing and making a stressful day a little...

Our 5th floor room had a nice view as long as you didn't look down. We watched and listened to the 'unhoused' fight with and scream at each other until about 430am. The pub 2 doors down booms the bass until 230am. The FREIGHT trains run about every hour or so all night long (we could see the tracks from our window) I couldn't fall asleep until after 5am, but then I could clearly hear the crosswalk for the seeing impaired start calling out that the crosswalk was open, automatically every few minutes. By that time I was so exhausted, that I was able to sleep thru it. If you are not a heavy sleeper, this may not be the hotel for you.

We ordered the breakfast in the room, hosted by the Vault restaurant. No Gluten free offerings AT ALL except a fruit bowl. My $7 fruit bowl had 4 raspberries 2 blackberries about 12 blueberries and 2 cut strawberries. We were missing a breakfast sandwich. The biscuits and gravy came in a brown waxed box and was not tasty. The Jersey egg sandwich on a bagel we did receive was edible but not tasty. The coffees tasted bitter like yesterday's decaf. We checked out hungry and thirsty. PS Breakfast for two was about $65 plus automatic fees and tip-

The pros? The room was lovely with high ceilings and unusual doors- the beds were very very comfortable the bathrooms were nice- great bathroom lighting The staff was really nice and helpful - I ask a lot of questions and they were very patient with me. Overall, had I paid the going rate for the room, I'd be very dissatisfied with the value. However, it is a very nice building with lovely little...

Sept, 2022 - LOVE THIS PLACE!! Still new, so a few little touches still being added. Beautiful old bank building, converted into a hotel. They've done a FANTASTIC job at keeping many original details! The copper and brass trim, bank office doors on the rooms, mail box & slots, marble, stairs - and the center piece - vault! Black Dog Salvage custom-made a table out of pieces from another old vault! (2 pictures of side-table in lobby included) This staff is so helpful, kind, professional & just plain fun at times! We appreciated their hospitality and help at all things hotel and Roanoke related. Rooms are very big! Comfortable, just need a set of drawers for clothing, an office chair for desk work and maybe a different small couch/chair. Love the one in the room now, it's just darn deep so can't really be sat on comfortably. Bed and bedding are comfortable, nice, with small lights and end tables on each side, along with charging station and plugs. Very handy, thank you! A roomy armoire for hanging clothing, a couple shelves in this for shoes, etc. Also inside of armoire - small fridge and a safe, which are very convenient. Big bathroom, so adorable. Great shower. Just needs a few more hooks for hanging towels to dry or clothing overnight. Everything else is spot on! We will be back and HIGHLY recommend this place! Convenient to walk anywhere in town. Note: this is one street from the train station/tracks which run thru town. We LOVED the lulling sounds of the trains! BONUS!!

So, this is really frustrating. We live in the Roanoke area. Sometimes we like to have a date night away from the kids and the pets and stay in downtown, go to dinner, go out to a bar, and go back to our hotel for some peace and quiet and relaxation and privacy. This is the SECOND time we've stayed at the Liberty Trust. The staff is very nice, the rooms are lovely, and the location is great. HOWEVER, both times we've stayed here the TV didn't work. The first time someone came up and tried to fix it, but she wasn't a tech and we were in our underwear and didn't really want someone in our room at midnight futzing with the TV. She stayed for 20 mins, had no idea what she was doing, and left. We had our iPad so we watched that. Tonight the same thing happened. It's 11:30 and we just got back from the bar and just want to watch some Netflix. The TV doesn't work. We're so annoyed. And, we don't want someone in our room at midnight trying to fix a TV that they have no idea how to fix. We unplugged it and plugged it back in. That's the extent of what we can do. Now we're watching our iPad AGAIN. But, like, for $300/night the effing TV should work. We could have stayed someplace else. And it's bizarre that this is the SECOND time this has happened. Also, we reserved and paid for a room with a queen-size bed. We most DEFINITELY are NOT currently in a queen-size bed. We have a queen at home. This is a full-size bed. We won't stay here again.

Currently staying here. Just one night before flying out tomorrow morning. We arrived at 7pm and there was no place to unload our luggage. We circled the block and pulled in behind some other waiting cars and the lobby looked very crowded. My husband went in to check in and found out that tonight is their grand opening. We were very much looking forward to getting our room and unwinding with a couple of drinks and eats at the bar, which is one of the main reasons we booked our stay here. Well due to their grand opening party, hotel guests aren’t allowed access to the bar/restaurant! Say what?? This was not advertised on their website or social media. The room is nice, but could use a couple pieces of artwork. Our room is very clean. We attempted to use the Chromecast feature on the tv but couldn’t get it to work. When we asked the front desk about this they replied that they were aware it wasn’t working. After a busy trip we were so looking forward to a lovely evening here but it didn’t go as we thought.
