About every year and a half, I forget how pathetic this place is and make the mistake of wasting my hard earned money there. My daughter and I were shopping nearby and were STARVING and craving pizza. Frank's was the closest place. We both ordered pizza by the slice. My daughter ordered cheese and I ordered the "special". The "special" consisted of previously baked pepperoni pizza which was then topped with new toppings and hardly melted, poor quality cheese. The previously baked pizza could not have been baked any less than 4 hours ago as evidenced by how hard (not crusty- HARD) the crust and original cheese was. Same with my daughter's cheese pizza. She could only eat about halfway up the slice before it became too tough for her to eat any more. She said it tasted like the pizza at her elementary school. We did order a house salad which was fresh. It was served with a packette of dressing which looked pretty beat up, but the dressing itself tasted o.k. for packaged dressing. Our waitress did check in to see if "everything was o.k.". Why didn't I complain then, you might ask? 1. We didn't have time to re-order. 2. My daughter BEGGED me not to complain because it would embarrass her (she is at that age). But to top it all off, when we went to pay, the cashier asked how everything was and I just HAD to ask when the previously baked pizza had actually been baked and the cashier proceeded to become rude to me. She said that they make the "slices" fresh and that they couldn't have been over 15 minutes old. I invited her to go to our table which had not yet been bussed to see for herself and to my astonishment, she called over another staff to "prove me wrong" and to chastise me for not saying something sooner. Not feeling like having to explain myself to her, I smiled, paid my $10.50 and silently vowed to NEVER waste my hard-earned money there again and vowed to warn every one I can about this terrible place. Incidentally, as she was telling me how they never re-warm pizza to serve, I observed the kitchen staff put a whole cheese pizza in the oven which had clearly already been baked (cheese not white and...
Read moreWe used to love this place but it has really gone downhill. Our first bad experience was last fall when we ordered a medium sausage and pepperoni pizza to go. When we got home and opened the box it was a plain cheese pizza. When we called the store the girl said too bad, that we should check the pizza before we leave the store next time.
Now tonight we ordered a 14" sausage and pepperoni pizza to go. We knew this time to check the box before leaving the store, and low and behold there was a 18" pizza crammed into a medium pizza box all folded up on the sides to make it fit. This is where the lying began. I told the cashier they made a mistake because we ordered a 14" pizza and she stood right there and told me that was a 14" pizza. I told her to measure it. It doesn't even fit in the box. Then she tried telling me that sometimes the cook makes them bigger than they should be. What kind of business model is that??? And why cram it into a smaller box then?
It was so obvious they had made a mistake and had a leftover 18" sausage and pepperoni pizza hanging around and were just waiting for someone to order the same 18" pizza. When the best they could find was someone who ordered a 14", they tried to pass it off by cramming it into a 14" box. I guess they weren't counting on us opening the box before we left. What liars! And what tight wads that won't throw away a pizza when they make a mistake. Instead they try to pass it off to some unsuspecting customer. It was obvious when we got the pizza home it had been on the warmer for nearly an hour. The worst pizza I've ever had in my life. Why doesn't the ownership take some pride in their food instead of pinching pennies to make a quick buck? Never going back ever again. Two strikes and...
Read moreIf you are going to order from the menu that comes up in the Google search you need to know the prices are incorrect for one, and I'm assuming some of the item descriptions are also incorrect. When I got there the prices on the calzones are about 2 dollars higher. The young lady who was very sweet but only offered an apology and said they knew and were trying to get it changed. They didn't offer to adjust the price, nor was I in the mood to argue with it. Once I got home I realized that the veggie calzone did not consist of just the onion, mushrooms and green peppers as described. It had other things like broccoli, olives and tomatoes as well. Though im not fond of some of this stuff I can eat it, but I'm not pleased considering it's not what I thought I was getting. I don't normally leave reviews at all but I'm hoping by doing this I keep anyone else from getting upset after a long day. I also hope that they go ahead and get on the ball with updating their menu on Google since it's a very popular search engine to keep them from having more...
