If you are even considering purchasing flooring, or for that matter any large home improvement project from Home Depot, I urge you to please read this review in it's entirety first. It may save you a big headache, and having to go through a nightmare such as the one I'm still enduring. I am not one of those crazy people who use all caps when wanting to emphasize a point, but if there was ever a situation that warranted it, this would be it. On January 26, 2024 I purchased $12,513.87 worth of carpeting and LVP flooring for my home. Home Depot requires you to pay for the entire project upfront. I used their in house financing, that provided interest free for six months. So now with flooring purchased, I receive a notification of scheduled install dates of February 12-16. I honestly was very surprised at needing this amount of days just for flooring, but that also soon became very obvious why. Home Depot uses Romanoff Renovations for all of their flooring installations. My installation began on Monday February 12 with the LVP flooring. My installer struggled to make it to my home by 11:00 each day, and left by 3:30. So the LVP now took three days instead of two, and he left without installing any transitions, and with my quarter round completely destroyed. He unbelievably was using a staple gun shooting nails, and eventually just used staples throughout the rest of my house. He also did not caulk any molding or flooring. So not only did this leave me with damaged molding, but also about 3 1/2 hours of work caulking all of my molding myself. Not a good start. The carpet crew arrived Thursday the 15th, also struggling to arrive by 11:00. My wife and I moved every single item, including all furniture prior to their arrival. So all they needed to do was lay carpet. This also left my entire home packed away on my hardwood floors, which has become a huge issue as this nightmare plays out. Amazingly they cut the carpet wrong at the shop, even after insuring multiple times that I had a large paved driveway to cut the carpet here. So now the largest piece of carpet for my great room and hallway would have to be reordered. But I was assured that the original dye lot was available, as all of the carpet upstairs is identical and needed to match at the doorway seems. This was the first of many, many blatant lies by the Home Depot staff. The crew was to return the following day to install the downstairs carpet, but again cutting it at the shop they found this carpet to be so severely flawed that it could not be used. So instead they returned to install the carpet in the master bedroom, and one of the spare bedrooms. Again assuring me that the matching carpet was available and ordered for the remainder of the house. To date those two rooms are the only carpet that was ever installed. Obviously that dye lot is long gone, so that new carpet is basically useless and needs to be replaced as well. So l'm sure you are wondering how is it possible that this occurred in mid February, yet in August nothing else had been done. Google Maps doesn't allow enough space to detail all of that. Basically one carpet was supposedly ordered three separate times. Twice flawed again, and once cut wrong yet again. The upstairs carpet was allegedly ordered three additional times as well, and cut wrong at the factory each time. So after over two months of this, I simply requested a full refund.Which they denied. All of this was sent to the "Executive Escalations Division". Which was a guy who supposedly was the one who could work all of this out. He worked 11-8, so the majority of my communications with him occured at 7:45. I talked to him 33 times leading up to this.Yes 33, and eventually I requested emails only. Finally On April 26 l agreed to a $6,750.00 refund, and $3,500 in compensation. This left me still paying in full for the botched LVP. As of today I have received neither. I am out $12k, my home is a total wreck and I am forced to hire an attorney to resolve this. The store manager has not spoken to me once throughout this...
Read moreBought a Samsung that only lasted 3 years and was told that parts no longer available. Went to Home Depot and bought a Magtag top loader. Purchased a 3 year extended warranty. The washer broke a month ago. Repair person had been working on it for 3weeks. Waiting on 3rd part to be delivered. Warranty company only apologized for the delay. Meanwhile I have had to make visits to the laundromat paying close to $70.00 to do laundry. Don’t purchase the warranty. Only get one apology at a time with no fixes. Update. Spoke with multiple people at Allstate insurance company. One delay after another. Told me that the email that had on file was not working. They misspelled Version so we did not receive the email. Had to submit a corrected email and wait 24-48 hours to be approved. I was assured I would get my resolution in 24-48 hours. Called back after 48 hours and was told that the note about the approved updated email was hidden and so they did not sent me the email. I told them they need more education regarding the amount of errors they make. Was assured that I would get the email regarding resolution of the problem in another 24 hours. One delay after another. I spoke with a Brian at the Home Depot that I purchased the washer from and he was no help. He did speak to the company but I was told that they were soon it and I should get an answer back in 24-48 hours.Brian could care less about my problems. The manger and co manager promised to. All me back but I never got the call. They are both out this week. Imagine that! That was two days ago. One person at Allstate even told me that I was not their only customer. No one is willing to assist. Pressured to purchase the insurance but they are not willing to keep their end of the bargain. So...
Read moreI have shopped at home Depot for years. Always had a good experience. That is until I needed a few appliances. Bought a fridge and the whole process was a disaster. Should have learned my lesson but I didn't so when my washer broke I went and got a new SET. Put it on my home Depot card and delivery was scheduled. All is good right? Nope. This happened on September 13. After 5 days with no washer, delivery crew shows up with two dryers no washer. The set was ordered wrong in the store by the employee. That's okay. People make mistakes. Kept one dryer and sent the other one back with the delivery crew. Called the store to get them to bring out the washer and they told me it would be over a week before I could get it. That was unacceptable. Called Lowe's. They had both in stock and could have them delivered the next day. Called home Depot back. Told them to come pick up the dryer and cancel the order. A week went by. Nobody showed up two weeks went by. Nobody showed up called home Depot set up a pickup date. No one showed up on that date. Call home Depot back. They set up another pickup date. Nobody showed up. Finally, after the 3rd attempt, the delivery crew showed up to pick up the dryer. The date is now November 16th. The dryer sat in my garage for 3 months waiting for them to come pick it up. Meanwhile, the washer and dryer are still on. My home Depot account. Said that it would be credited once they received the dryer. It is now December 1st and it is still on my account and when I call home depot to speak with someone they put me on hold and hang up. If you were thinking about buying an appliance from home Depot, think again. I will never purchase a another appliance from any home...
