I understand thus is lond but its worth the read because this place DERSERVES EVERY great word it has gotten. To start off with why we visited Texas Roadhouse 100 Bradley Drive NW, Christiansburg, VA 24073 was for celebration of my son's 14th birthday. The restaurant is actually a hour and a half from our home but we were going to need to Christmas shop and he picked this restaurant he wanted to go to. His Nannie takes all grandchildren every year for B Day dinners instead of gifts. So anything anywhere which they love more than gifts. He ordered a rare 20 Oz NY strip special cut for the day, loaded mash potatoes, and mushrooms. The steak was exactly and perfectly what was ordered and the sides were as well. Of course 20 Oz was a huge steak for him so he actually only ate maybe 4 Oz because the sides with rolls filled him up. The grandparents only ate salads, I ordered the loaded potato skins, and the wife had a starter grilled shrimp and they all were delicious. The waitress was extremely kind and checked on us several times thoughoyt even tho the restaurant was extremely busy. The manager Frannie made her way to our table to ask how things were and was above and beyond filled with kindness and really seemed to care about her customers and restaurant. She made us aware that the potato skins also came with jalapeños if ordered. I told her I wish I knew because I only ate three and was letting him take them home to eat on the next two days. She actually went and brought a small container to him to take home. The only downside to this night was after shopping for two days and a long trip back home he forgot and left his steak and potato skins on the couch overnight and my wife had to throw them away the next morning. He had gotten so upset because he was looking forward to them that he had gotten tears ( very understandable ). So the second pic of the steak is what was actually brought home and thrown away but he still said it was the best steak ever. Will DEFINITELY...

Was given a server (SHY) who was more preoccupied with her larger tables, as we saw her at those tables every couple of minutes while we waited and waited. Took her 25 minutes to finally greet our table and took our entire order at once. Was given salad within two minutes from a different person and had to wait another 20 minutes before she gave us our first drinks, she came around maybe two times and kept asking if we “were still okay” despite having no food or drinks, and no refills until our main entrees came 30 minutes later. (Another two top table was sat right next to us in her section and she brought their apps, drinks, mains, and check before we even got our food). She never brought us our cactus blossom and just said she’ll “take it off the receipt” and acted shocked when we said we wanted one that was the whole reason we came to this restaurant. She brought us one that was severely burned and all our mains and sides were wrong, cold, and half of the steak was over cooked while the other half was raw. We were sat next to the card register and she would hang out there after her big tables left and trash talk them to the other employees that came by. I set my cold food to the side to try and eat the 45 minutes late app and she brought me a box for my food and was only worried about trying to upsell some dessert despite us only being maybe 5 minutes into eating our food. After an hour and a half experience she finally brought our check, and we found out two days later on my credit card she had altered the check to give herself a bigger tip despite me taking a picture of the receipt. Immediately called the restaurant and all they offered was a refund of the difference she altered. Have visited here plenty of times and never had such an entitled and rude server or terrible experience...
Read moreIf you want your steak to moo, eat here! We ordered the Cactus Blossom, which was way overcooked and dry. My husband ordered a 16 ounce Ft. Worth Ribeye steak, medium rare, and it came raw, It was nowhere near medium rare. We couldn't find our waitress anywhere and so I had to go ask a waiter to call our waitress. The waiter was rude and did not help at all. We finally saw our waitress and flagged her to our table. Although, throughout our dining experience our waitress seemed as if she would rather be anywhere else but there, she took my husband's steak to have them get a properly made one. We waited at least 25 minutes and no one came back with the new steak. Our waitress did not come back to tell us where the steak is and when it will be there. After waiting 25 minutes, she was walking by our table and I asked her if we will ever get my husband's steak and she said yes. After another 5 minutes, some man finally brought the steak. He did not apologize for taking 30 minutes to fix a steak. He just stood there telling my husband to cut the steak to make sure it is properly cooked and then he left. They brought the same steak my husband had cut into back to him, including the cut piece sitting on the plate and this time part of the steak was done medium rate and parts where still quite rare. By the time they brought back the steak, everyone else's food was cold. Two of us ordered the Dallas Fillet (6 and 8 ounce medium rare). They were just okay, but mine had a funky taste. The sides that came with the food were subpar at best. The only time our waitress bothered to come by our table after she brought our food, was when she wanted us to pay. We were quite disappointed with the whole experience and will not visit this Texas Roadhouse...
