Sonic on Electric Rd in Roanoke VA is the worst, most horribly managed excuse for a food establishment that I've ever been to. I was given the wrong order. Called the next day because after my hour drive home they had closed for the night. I was told bring my receipt which I had, and I'd get my meal replaced. Two days later and another hour drive, I get to this Sonic and was rudely told by a cashier that her manager Tammy knew nothing about this and that there was nothing they could do. I was never given the name of the manager that I spoke to when I called. But I'm expected to come there only when that manager (that I don't know the name of) was working. WHAT!?? REALLY!? After telling them I live an hour away the cashier gets louder and even more rude. Telling me there was nothing that they can do. And she turned off the microphone. I have worked in customer service for over 25 years. I know that this is not okay. I don't believe that this could possibly be common practice. And why did the manager, Tammy never intervene or try to appease the situation at all. It's not my fault as a customer that the manager I spoke to didn't leave a note. Oh yeah, and the associate also questioned my honesty and said that I could be lying and that how could they know if that actually happened or not. Again, I have my receipt. I am absolutely appalled and offended by the way I was treated and spoken to. I'll be contacting corporate tomorrow to handle this further. Let me finish by saying, I know what it's like to work with the public. I never complain even when not treated kindly in stores/restaurants. But this was unbelievably uncalled for and I'm not letting it go like I typically do. Bad day or not, don't tell customers that they are liars after telling them they have no clue what even happened to begin with. This is definitely not over rude associate and non speaking...
Read moreCame for breakfast this morning and was cussed at by the worker who took our order. Waited almost 15 minutes for someone to come to the speaker… we were the only ones there. When she came on she stated very rudely “what do you want”… Shocked, but I ordered one meal, and waited for her to acknowledge it and ask what else. When she didn’t…. About 2 minutes passed, she very loudly and rudely goes “well? What else? Hurry up!” I was shocked and just looked at my husband who said “wow. That was terribly rude” to that she relied in the same tune “Ok? And you should have finished telling me your order then”. I just said “You know what, thank you, but no thank you, I’m actually going to go elsewhere, but I appreciate it”. She laughed and said “Ok? Go on then BYEEEEEE” like it was some joke. My husband (more angry than I was) said “That’s terrible customer service. What a brat”… to that she yelled, literally yelled “Yeah, yeah. Same to you. Go on. Byyyyyye get on. Go somewhere else”. We drove off in silence honestly trying to question if we were being pranked.
This had to be a joke… had to be. Now I’ve called all the numbers customer service gives me, and it’s outsourced to people who don’t even speak English that well… it’s a lost cause at this point. I wanted a district manager or general manager. The worker, by the way, had MD plates, if that helps… I have NEVER been spoken to in that way before over an order. Sonic, do better. Read moreI placed an order tonight at 9:51 for a sweet tea and a small slush. It was supposed to be ready by 9:57. I got there early and checked in. I waited and waited and waited and waited. I tried to call 5 times. No one answers. No one even comes out of the building for 7/8 minutes. After waiting almost 20 minutes from the time it should have been ready I go up to the door and ask about it. There are 3 people standing around inside. The manager claimed they got a rush and were filling orders first come first served. There were 4 cars there when I arrived and 3 of them already got orders one car a man came from the inside and got in his car sipping a drink. I let her know I had ordered 30 minutes prior for just a drink and small slush. She was very rude. After 30 minutes after time to be ready/40 after I ordered I asked for a refund but I know from before I'll never see it. I didn't have time to keep waiting bc I was already late to work at that point. With no drink (going to a hot environment) w no time to stop for anything else and also out money. This is ridiculous. The same location often doesn't have the app running bc I guess they can't handle it but that's the only way to get half priced drinks. The same location one night a few weeks ago when I ordered 2 rt 44 sweet teas brought me unsweetened teas and didn't bother to say anything. I took a sip before leaving and realized it was unsweetened when I called to the carhop they said "oh yeah we are out of sweet tea".... so they just planned to deceive me and let me go off w something I don't like?!
