Tanglewood Mall — Local services in Cave Spring

Edited in August, 2024. This was the first time that I,ve been back to Mall for anything other than an occasional visit to Belk's. This time my visit was for a doctor's appointment. The entire section, plus a liitle more, where J.C.Penny's originally was located is now remodeled and occupied by Carilion Clinic offices. The majority of the space is devoted to Pediatrics with ENT specialists' offices and some by technical Dental practices. There are newly built eateries bult at locations in the parking lot, but none that I saw in the main Mall building. Original review. I recently visited Tanglewood Mall and found it empty of shoppers and nearly half of the stores empty and for lease. The following stores are still in business in the main building of the Mall: T.J.Maxx and Staples which open into the parking lot. The following open into the closed walkway of the Mall: Foot Companion, Inc., Warehouse Furniture, Suit City, Crystal Cottage (not open on Sunday), Bath and Body, Belk, and Merle Norman Cosmetic Studio (irregular hours, call ahead), Five Guys Hamburgs and Champloo Desserts (irregular hours, call ahead). When I was a kid, we used to play Shadowrun. We also used to watch a bunch of JCVD movies like Hard Target. We used to then incorporate the things we watched into our role playing games, ie incorporating the man hunt theme of Hard Target into Shadowrun. In order to make sure we were all on the same page, we used our collected teenage knowledge of Tanglewood's floor plans to do this AND IT WAS GREAT FOR THAT! My only complaint, other than another one I'll get to in a second, was that they got rid of Brendel's. Why this is a problem is it was the only place in the mall that sold shotguns. Now if we're stuck in the mall and a group of highly paid assassins are hunting us, humans (because people are the deadliest game / prey / whatever), none of us can dash to Brendel's to steal shotguns to defend ourselves and hope we can make it out of the mall and win the huge award we get for surviving the game. My only other complaint is that one time they had some dumb mother's day special there and I told them they should have Danzig and Tiffany perform his hit Mother together in the mall and it would be great! Tanglewood Mall is a place for all ages. With it under new ownership we will see great things coming with all the plans in mind for the near future. However, the food available there is Five Guys, K&W Cafeteria, and Applebees which are all great with great staff members in each. Miller-Motte the technical college there is also a great college choice for anyone trying to get there Associate's degree with job placement and great staff members who have years of experience and knowledge that will help you step by step to the career of your dreams. Several other shops are in the mall that cater to every age group such as: Game Stop, Suit City, Crystal Cottage, Hallmark, Belk, Kay Jewelers, Hair Plus, Pure Massage, Bath and Body Works and A.C. Morre, Play Fit Stay Fit to name a few with many more. Tanglewood is a family oriented mall that will have everyone satisfied with their visit....
