This particular Starbucks location used to have good customer service but unfortunately not any more. I come to Starbucks in Robbinsville at least once a week with my elderly mother and a puppy. We use the drive through for convenience because my 92 year old mother has mobility issues. The service used to be perfect up to about six weeks ago but lately it has been nothing but very disappointing! Few weeks ago we were told there was no artificial sweetener available for our ice latte - only raw sugar. This is an issue since my mother is diabetic! The girl told us they ran out of sweeteners! How is that possible? Ice latte with hazelnut is never available here for some reason. Why? All other Starbucks location have latte with hazelnut no problem. Latte with hazelnut happens to be my all time favorite. They used to give my puppy Puppuccino with tiny cookies but today (7/11/21) the girl at the drive through told me they “never” do that! I told her please do not say “never” because you have ALWAYS done it before. The puppy got a smaller (clear plastic) cup oppose to bit larger paper cup she used to get with only cream minus cookies. We also asked today for sweetener on the side and only little ice but instead got no sweetener and both cups were filled with ice to the top with virtually no actual space left for coffee itself! We got no napkins or straws either. The girl at the window was curd and unapologetic. By the time we realized we received no sweetener, no napkins, no straws and more ice than coffee in our cups we were on the road already and did not want to turn back or aggravate ourselves especially after my recent heart attack! Whoever is in charge of this specific Starbucks needs to seriously reevaluate their employee training methods and customer service standards in general. This was most likely our last visit! Whenever I drop my companion rabbit, Peanut, off at the vet's office for an early morning procedure, I ALWAYS make a special stop @ the Robbinsville Starbucks!!! The staff is 100% Spot On. There are NEVER any issues with my drink. The order is ALWAYS correct. The store manager is wonderful!!!
One morning I stopped there and there was a box of the Brand-New tumblers on the long high table in front of the cashier and batista. I was being nosy and peeked in the box. The store manager came over and said, "They don't come out until tomorrow. I checked the SKU #s to see if they were in our system, but they weren't. If you want, I can put one on the side for you until tomorrow!" I told him that I would LOVE to do that. However, this location is an hour away from my house and I was just there because my vet's office is down the road. I thanked him and told him how much I appreciated the gesture. This happened within the past 6 months, so I'm sure the same store manager is there.
Having a good store manager is essential piece of the puzzle in retail/food service. If you don't have that, everything else goes downhill: i.e. excellence of service, caliber of employees, friendliness, cleanliness of the store, food standards, etc.

We ordered our coffee, paid and waited for our order. My coffee was prepared first 5-10 minutes went by and my friends coffee was still not ready. Customers that ordered way after us got thier orders. My friend ask for the status on his drink and was ignored by the employee Joel who was making the drinks eventually he responded in a rude manner I’m getting it done. A few more minutes went by and the drink was complete. The order was wrong and my friend told him that’s what he ordered and that’s how the drink was done. My friend maintained his composure and replied that’s okay we’ve waited long enough and took the drink. My friend replied thank you and have a good day.
