I am very disappointed in the service as well as the behavior from the manager at this particular Rochester location. Not only is this establishment always in disarray, tables are filled with crumbs no matter what time I come, but they also never have fajita peppers.
Today, around 2:40 pm, I entered this location with my daughter to order two bowls. Mine was a veggie bowl, and to no surprise, fajita peppers were not an option.
After 4 months straight of “just dealing with not having fajita peppers”, I needed an answer as to why Veggies are on the menu as protein yet there are never any peppers available. Especially as a protein option for people who do not eat meat.
I asked to speak with the manager and inquired when the best time to come in for fajita peppers was. The manager's response was, “ We are too busy to chop up veggies. They take too long to prep." My response was, “Ok, so what do you suggest a person do that does not eat meat?” Her response was, “There are plenty of other locations you can go to.”
I told the manager that her response was not good enough, especially if veggies are an option on the menu. I would have preferred if she had told me the veggies were not available. At least that would have given me an idea of what to expect. But when she told me that they were not offering veggies at this time at this location because it's too much prep work, that didn't work for me. I then asked for her name and told her I would be contacting corporate. The manager shrugged her shoulders and refused to give me her name, saying it was “not important; all I need to know is that she is the manager.” Not only was my daughter a witness to this disrespectful behavior but so were about 12 others, including the crew team.
It would be a shame on me for requesting something that's not on the menu. But it's a shame on the manager for being annoyed by my request for an item that's on the menu and also being told that the item is available, but the team crew members just doesn't feel like prepping the peppers.
What makes matters worse is that the young man taking my order was willing to chop up some peppers for me, he just asked if I could wait a while, which I was okay with doing. The manager stopped him and refused. I am disgusted to...
Read moreIf I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I arrived at 9:00 to get my food when it said it’d be ready and I go inside and there are maybe 5 employees working. The dine-in line is short but there are other people waiting around for their mobile orders. I take a seat and wait 10 minutes and myself along with 3 others are STILL waiting for our mobile orders. The employees ALL are working on the dine in line instead. FINALLY after 20 minutes an employee asks us if we’re waiting for a mobile order and what our names are. The other 3 get helped and leave and I stay waiting for my food while more dine in people come in and get their food before I do. An employee comes up to me to let me know they’re out of chicken. At this point I’m furious bc I’ve already waited 30 minutes now. He tells me it’ll be 15 more minutes and I say fine I’ll wait because I’ve waited this long already. The chicken sat on the grill with no one attending to it. Every employee disappeared into a back room leaving just myself inside. After waiting 20 minutes for the chicken to finish, they finally start serving it only they serve it to dine in customers instead of myself who at this point has been waiting 50 MINUTES. I approach the counter and ask when my order will be ready THEN they finally start working on it. After I got it I asked to be compensated because this was outrageous. I had waited a total of ONE HOUR! I’m normally not one to complain but 5 employees and not 1 was working on mobile orders, ones that ordered with ingredients BEFORE they went out, is completely unacceptable. The answer to my compensation question was a no. No refund, no free bag of chips, nothing. I have never been so appalled by service at a quick service restaurant. They wasted my time and I will not...
Read moreEdit (11/14/17): I'm not exactly sure what's happened to this location, but it's quite tragic. I was back in the Auburn Hills and Rochester area and decided Chipotle would make for a good lunch. Admittedly, I'm a Chipotle-freak, and what I encountered was a fan's nightmare. I've never seen such pitifully stingy bowls coming off the line. The rice was clumpy and tasted old, and - perhaps most ridiculous of all - they were treating it as if pure gold was being distributed. Maybe a measly 2 oz of rice was placed in my bowl, if even that much. Upon asking for more rice, one small, bite-sized portion of rice was added - it was insulting. Among the other ingredients, the chicken was sparsely added, and it had an awkward, rubbery texture to it. I watched bowl after bowl being shoved down the line that were barely filled.
I'm not exaggerating and hate to admit it, but this location has become an absolute disgrace to the franchise. The fact that prices of all menu items were recently increased just adds insult to injury. I visit Chipotle's all over the country, and this is the first time I've felt outright cheated. I sent my feedback to corporate and they quickly informed me that they'd look into it further.
Original (2016): Good location, generally kept very clean, friendly staff with smiles, and efficient enough to get customers through longer lines in a reasonable amount of time. Months ago, there was an issue with consistency of portions, as I noticed some servers were making bowls significantly smaller than you'd expect at Chipotle. It seems they've got a handle on this recently though. A couple times, the lettuce has been a tad mushy, but that very well may be a trade-off of using...
